MF Doom & Danger Mouse (Dangerdoom) Share Unreleased Single, "Mad Nice"
A reissue of MF Doom‘s 2005 The Mouse And The Mask collabo album with Danger Mouse, along with their Occult Hymn EP, will be rereleased next month in physical formats and will include apparel, unreleased songs and bonus tracks. One of the two bonus cuts was shared today called “Mad Nice” and features Black Thought and Vinny Price, who exchange clever verses over Vincent Price’s iconically creepy laugh. Djibouti-by-way-of-Montréal singer Shay Lia, who is best known for her vocals on KAYTRANADA‘s 99.9% track “Leave Me Alone,” makes a return with her track “Blue.” The songstress lays sultry vocals over a soulful production from KAYTRANADA and BADBADNOTGOOD. Shay tells The FADER: “The first time I heard the demo, I cried. There’s this mix of excitement and stress: Will I find a good melody? If I can’t then there’s no song!” Thankfully, the song turned out beautifully; listen to it below.
