The Chuck Taylor II is a welcomed upgrade to the iconic silhouette, complete with modern materials for increase comfort and durability. While us adults have been enjoying the modernized sneaker for nearly a year now, the younger generation has yet to playground test the model that will soon be the Chuck Taylor of their generation.
For the first time since last year’s launch, the Converse Chuck Taylor II is now available in kids sizes. Helping announce this release, some of the coolest kids in New York rock the reimagined sneaker in the above lookbook. The children featured in the shoot are spawns of NYC creatives like Dao-Yi Chow of Public School NYC, Coltrane Curtis of Team Epiphany, and John Seymour of Sweet Chick and Ludlow Coffee Shop/Barber.
The CTII Kids is available at Converse retail stores and online at Converse.com starting today, Friday, April 29 with prices ranging from $40 to $65 USD.

            Not known to do things by half measures, British automaker Rolls-Royce has unveiled a bespoke luggage set for owners of its Wraith model. Comprised of three weekenders, one garment carrier, two valises, all designed to complement the size of the Wraith’s trunk, the luggage set continues the imprint’s commitment to luxury craftsmanship with each piece designed from premium hand-stitched leather and carbon fiber frames. Subtle embossed logo round out each design with elegance. Priced at $45,854 USD, head to your local Rolls-Royce dealership for more information on the set.                       

The New SFMoMA Opens Its Doors in May
San Francisco’s Modern Museum of Art will finally open its doors after being closed for nearly three years due to a $305 million USD renovation. The newly-expanded space encompasses over 170,000 square foot of indoor and outdoor gallery space, designed by international architectural firm Snøhetta. According to The New York Times, the building will be larger than the Museum of Modern Art in New York and will be the largest museum in the Bay Area as it spans an entire block. Nearly 33,000 works will be on display, with a strong concentration on 20th-century art, spanning from Warhol silk-screens to Calder mobiles and more. An emphasis on geopolitical and international works will also be made as a Bauhaus-inspired installation by Portuguese artist Leonor Antunes and pieces from Ai Weiwei and Mark Bradford will all be showcased in the upgraded 10-story space.
The new SFMoMA will be open to the public starting on Saturday, May 14th.

A 1954 Jaguar XK120M That Went From Roadster to Race Car
                          The 1954 Jaguar XK120M possesses a unique character with its exterior design, but the one above also contains a rich history due to its transformation from a regular roadster to a race-ready car. Tom Jaycox, Jr., a passionate car enthusiast and regular at the Vintage Sports Car Club of America acquired the model in the late 1960s and recreated the vehicle to mimic period factory racers, inspired by a XK120S at Silverstone. He began by removing all of the amenities like the windshield and carpets to lighten the weight, and replaced the seats with LT1 racing seats. Then, he modified the engine and fitted the car with aluminum-rimmed C-type wheels. With the consultation of British racing company Leyland Motors, the vehicle became a race-ready machine. Since then, this XK120M has gone through numerous modifications and restorations, but vintage details including a Moto-Lita handcrafted wooden steering wheel and well-worn interior remain, evoking the owner’s legacy and automobile’s rare past.
        
Will.i.am's the "dial" Smartwatch Is Now Ready For Pre-Order
The musically gifted entrepreneur that is William Adams — better known as Will.i.am — has been spending his time developing his latest venture from the tech industry: the dial, a smartwatch with its own voice-recognized virtual assistant called AneedA. Like its artificial sisters – Siri, Cortana and Alexa — AneedA is programmed to execute orders and provide search results while keeping your hands free. While the virtual assistant is no new innovation, the dial claims that AneedA will be able to “tailor responses to each consumer.” Only time will tell how well that plays out. In the meantime, readers in the UK will have a chance to Pre-Order the dail from UK’s mobile network provider Three, with the catch of needing to sign up on a new contract as the dial actually supports a Three SIM card. Back in 2011, Calvin Harris and Rihanna linked up for “We Found Love,” which was not only the song of the year (spending 10 weeks in the top spot on the Billboard chart), but also one of the best-selling singles of all time (nearly 15 million copies/downloads to date). Now, as promised, the two are back with their long-awaited followup. Dubbed “This Is What You Came For,” the track is just as catchy as their previous collab, incorporating tropical house vibes for what could be the song of the summer.

TECH: SONY PATENTS SMART CONTACT LENS CAMERA / BUNKER CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE

Sony Patents Smart Contact Lens Camera Technology
Following in the footsteps of Google and Samsung, Sony has just patented technology for smart contact lenses. According to sonyalpharumors, the Japanese tech conglomerate’s iteration of a lens looks to be very advanced with a built-in camera, storage and transmission unit. The patent also states that the device would be able to have autofocus, aperture control and image stabilization. To control the camera “shutter,” the wearer would simply have to blink, but the patent claims that the contact lenses would be able to differentiate between a regular blink and one to capture a photo. While details are obviously sparse at this point, one thing is clear — the next wearable technology is going to be the contact lens. Click here to see the full patent.


Bunker Custom Motorcycles Revamps the Yamaha XSR700
Istanbul-based Bunker Custom Motorcycles has unveiled a winner in its customization of the Yamaha XSR700. Created as part of Yamaha’s Yard Built program, the bike was designed to emulate the tracker style, and features a raised seat position, higher ground clearance, and a more terrain-friendly 19-inch front wheel. Performance upgrades included Renthal bars, MT-09 Tracer units, Super Ténére spoked wheels, Goldentyre GT201 tires, a Halo headlamp, handcrafted exhausts, and a variety of Yamaha genuine accessories.

As previewed by Nike, the Supreme x Nike Air Max 98 is set to release for the Spring 2016 season. Utilizing the classic Air Max 98 runner silhouette, the shoe mixes cushioned midsoles, metallic mesh uppers and reflective details all over. Four colorways include classic Supreme “Red,” “Obsidian,” a “Triple Black” model, and a snakeskin “Cream” version, while an accessory running hat featuring Dri-FIT technology will also drop to coincide with the release.
The sneaker and hat will drop exclusively online April 28 and in Japan on April 29; the Supreme NY, LA, London and Paris shops WILL NOT receive this collection in-stores.
UPDATE: The Supreme x NikeLab collection will be releasing online at NikeLab as well as select NikeLab destinations worldwide on April 30 with the AM98s selling for $175 USD and the cap for $45 USD.
