The Paris Automobile Club was an appropriate setting for Miu Miu‘s 2018 Resort show – the collection itself is full of references to classic ’50s auto repair shops and utilitarian Americana. Practical jumpsuit uniforms and short rompers take center-stage, emblazoned with retro patches that are given an upscale makeover in delicate beading and crystals.
As always with Miu Miu, the runway itself is a star-studded affair, with Tommy Genesis opening up the show and the likes of Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Adwoa Aboah, Slick Woods and Jourdan Dunn showcasing the wares. The silhouettes are decidedly slouchy throughout, with waists cinched in by sleeves and belt-bags – a clear nod to the working men’s uniforms in body shops that served as a reference for this collection. Miu Miu is known for its dedication to glamor, however, and the Italian fashion house made sure to bring that to the forefront in the bejeweled blouses and jumpsuits that followed later in the collection, as well as in the unique space-age Hawaiian prints silks. The standout pieces for us were the luscious intarsia fur coats in pastel pink, blue and olive green – guaranteed to keep you looking chic in the auto shop and beyond.

With the help of creative agency the con•cept, the streetwear label created a lifestyle lookbook in the streets of the Big Apple. We see the models posing on the Manhattan streets, which are constantly active with construction sites and roving pedestrians. City dwellers are sure to appreciate the shorts, socks and hats that are minimally branded for everyday appeal. Comfort is king for this line and it definitely shows.

Moncler & Greg Lauren Unveil More Items From Its "COLLIDE" Collaborative Collection

After announcing their team up a few months back, Moncler and artist/designer Greg Lauren recently unveiled more items from their “COLLIDE” collection. The collaborative range features Lauren’s signature juxtaposition of textures through the combination of old and new. Outerwear, bottoms and accessories found in the collection are constructed of Moncler outerwear and striking distressed fabrics creating unique challenging pieces. Set to release July 7, the items will be available both online and in Moncler boutiques like Moncler Tokyo Ginza, Moncler Tokyo Aoyama and Dover Street Market Ginza.
