NETFLIX: MINDHUNTER / VOLTRON / WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY

David Fincher and Netflix‘s Mindhunter has an official trailer showing off two FBI profilers and a myriad of psychopaths. The series — which is co-produced by Charlize Theron — is based on John Douglas’ memoir of the same name and centers around two FBI agents (Jonathan Groff & Holt McCallany) who track down serial killers. The trailer asks the question if serial killers are born or formed, which sets our protagonists on a trajectory of a sinister investigation.

Airing only eight months after the second season dropped its 24 episodes on Netflix, Voltron: Legendary Defender has released an action-packed trailer to promote its next season. From what’s seen in the trailer, Prince Lotor is rallying support from the Galra empire in wake of Zarkon’s defeat. After losing Shiro and now with an unpredictable new enemy arriving, the paladins are struggling to find their bearings and without being able to form Voltron, they’re at a huge disadvantage this season.
Can they come together in time to fight Lotor? Check out the new episodes on Netflix August 4 and watch the trailer above for now. Netflix has also recently released the trailer for Mindhunter, a thriller that follows FBI agents searching for psychopaths.

Netflix has dropped a trailer to promote their upcoming movie What Happened to Monday, which features a future facing overpopulation and famine. The government puts a one child policy into effect, which forces seven twins (all played by Noomi Rapace) to undertake a single identity in society for decades until they’re discovered. The film stars Rapace alongside strong names like Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe, who is hot off of Netflix’s Death Note adaptation.
What Happened to Monday is directed by Tommy Wirkola and is set to debut on August 18.

Last February, Hiroki Nakamura offered fans a close look at visvim’s 2017 fall/winter collection in a New York City showroom. This time around, the Japanese mainstay unveils its lookbook for the cold-season range which touts a slew of loose-fitting staples spanning outerwear, soft goods, accessories and footwear. Standout apparel items include kimono down jackets, Longrider shirts, jacquard knits, and Hakama chino pants. As for the footwear portion, the label purveys a modish series of KIEFER HI and BUCKLED RIDING BOOTS-FOLK silhouettes. All-in-all, the collection is an extension of Nakamura’s well-blended Americana design cues with sophisticated tailoring from Japan.

STREETWEAR: An Exclusive First Look at Places+Faces’ Bangkok Capsule Collection To mark the brand’s first party in South East Asia.

It’s getting increasingly hard to label Places+Faces, with the photography collection/clothing brand/party organisers/zine publishers constantly expanding into new areas. The latest venture from P+F, following the launch of a collaborative set of headphones, sees the brand announce a party in Thailand’s capital featuring a set from founder Ciesay (aka Aux God) and a celebratory capsule collection to mark the occasion. The new capsule features many of the classic elements that Places+Faces has become known for — such as quarter zips, side bags and hoodies — and to celebrate the collective’s first party in Thailand, some pieces in the collection also feature the Thai flag and writing in Thai.

After months of I can beat Michael Jordan claims by LaVar Ball, MJ has finally responded to the father of Lakers rookie guard Lonzo Ball.
If you’re even the most casual of sports fans than you’ve definitely heard one, two or nine hot-takes from LaVar over the past year. The most ludicrous of them all involves His Airness: back in March, Mr. Ball told USA TODAY that “Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one.” He continued saying “I would just back (Jordan) in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left. He cannot stop me one-on-one. He better make every shot ’cause he can’t go around me. He’s not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim.”
Nearly eight months later, MJ finally responds to basketball’s most famous father. Following the reunion of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen at the annual Flight School camp, the Hall-of-Famer was presented with a question that’s been on everyone’s mind — his thoughts on LaVar Ball’s comments. In true MJ fashion, he stated “You got to understand the source. I think he played college, maybe? He averaged 2.2 points a game. Really? It doesn’t deserve a response, but I’ma give it to you because you asked the question. I don’t think he could beat me if I was one-legged.”
As expected, Jordan’s statement resulted in a wide array of laughs and cheers. The question now isn’t will LaVar respond, but how?

Jason Day caused quite a bit of commotion during Round 1 of the PGA British Open Championship, as the Australian-bred pro hit the course sporting a pair of white Air Jordan 1 Golf silhouettes. Golf aficionados, both professional and casual novice alike, took exception to the athlete’s peculiar shoe choice with many taking aim at its non-traditional roots. A risqué fashion move any way you look at it. sneaker, highlighting the KAWS designs found on the suede upper that serve as the main design

An “O.J. Simpson Museum” Pop-Up Is Coming to LA’s Chinatown District

Contemporary art gallery Coagulate Curatorial is set to launch an “OJ Simpson Museum” pop-up in Los Angeles, California. The five-day function will feature vintage T-shirts worn during the famous trial, paintings created by “The Juice” himself, and of course, a white Ford Bronco that will be parked outside the space located in LA’s Chinatown district. On March 14, 1951 photographer Arthur Sasse snapped one of Albert Einstein’s most iconic images—a portrait of the storied scientist sticking his tongue out at the Princeton club during his birthday. Not long ago, Nat D Sanders Auctions announced that the aforesaid photo sold for a whopping $125,000 USD. Einstein had ordered several prints of the whimsical capture to give to his buddies, but only a few if not just the one depicted shows the complete backdrop of the image.

Artist Kamea Hadar Painted the Largest Portrait Mural in Hawaii

1. Honolulu-based visual artist Kamea Hadar painted the largest wall mural portrait in Hawaii. The massive piece spotlights the Hawaiian Goddess of the Moon, Hina. Speaking to HYPEBEAST, Hadar explained the goddess “is said to guide sailors with the moon and stars while they were at sea.” The mural is approximately 14 stories tall and is located near Pearl Harbor.

Jakuan Melendez Showcases KAWS, Supreme & Other Rare Vinyl Toys in LA Exhibit

Jaquan Melendez of the iconic 360 Toy Group currently has a solo exhibition titled “PAST PRESENT FUTURE” at The Void in Los Angeles, California. The presentation features a slew of Melendez’s rare vinyl toys which he created for BAPE, Supreme, Medicom, Bounty Hunter and more. In addition, the New York-based art toy pioneer has a series of sculptures made in collaboration with Wes Lang on display at the exhibit until August 18.

Painter/photographer KangHee Kim recently created a surreal series of photographic collages dubbed “Street Errands.” The visuals showcase various urban backdrops of New York City juxtaposed with natural scenes. According to an interview with It’s Nice That, “escapism” is the central theme of the captivating collages and “creating surrealist and fictional imagery allows [her] to feel a bit liberated from the [urban] complications.”
