In honor of the new decade, V Magazine has unveiled its annual calendar, this year starring models Bella and Gigi Hadid, Alek Wek, Hailey Bieber and more. Shot by Zoey Grossman, the calendar will be produced in a limited quantity of 1,000 editions, so snag it sooner rather than later.

Shot exclusively in black and white, fashion’s biggest names including Carolyn Murphy, Lily Aldridge and Karlie Kloss bare all in starkly-lit portraits. Styling consists of casual basics from the brand.

Nearly a year since adidas first announced its partnership with Beyoncé’s lifestyle label IVY PARK, the first capsule collection from the line will finally become available for purchase this weekend. While details surrounding the range’s pricing are still sparse, initial campaign images and teasers offer fans a sneak peek at select items from the collaboration, including a bodysuit, a tracksuit-inspired pleated dress, as well as stiletto sock boots and sneakers. Documentation :: L.A. Protesting Possible War with Iran

Well we definitely are off to a provocative start to 2020. While this is not normally the type of photo set that normally gets posted on the blog here ( more or less to my ability to be able to cover protests ) I felt compelled to share some images I got to make last weekend.

Since having a studio space in downtown L.A. it has definitely proven productive to be centralized for photos. While working on some pictures last weekend I was distracted by the humming of multiple helicopters hovering. Curious as to what was going on I looked on twitter to see what was happening. It turned out some people were gathering at Pershing Square to march and to be heard. With the idea of the U.S.A. possibly entering a war with Iran people came out to express their concern for such a conflict. 

Given that the initial location they were starting out wast just a few blocks away I grabbed my camera, threw some extra rolls of film in my bag and hit the streets. Catching up with the march just as it got on its way I followed it through up until the immigration building in downtown. 

The vibe was peaceful but with profound intent. There was a message being said and if you were in the area of downtown I am sure you heard it. To see a collective of all different types of people coming out to share a common message was not only great but inspiring. People feeling passionate enough about a matter to get up and get out had a contagious energy to witness in person. 

Regardless of your outlook on the situation one thing I think we can all agree upon about this nation is the proven fact of importance of the freedom of speech. That right to go out in public and to be able to say what is on your mind is something we are all blessed with and should never take for granted. 

While I definitely don't consider myself a photojournalist by any means it was exciting making photos of this event to share. Hopefully some of the energy translates through the pictures. Scroll below for the full set and see you all next week.

I know we are a week in to 2020 but Happy New Year everyone! To kick off the first set I am posting of the new year I felt it would be fun to share some images I made with Tee. 

Tee was someone I had the opportunity to shoot with recently. Demonstrating on how the universe works with connecting people it turned out she had seen the pictures I made with Nikki Blades. From there she had messaged me about possibly shooting. After a bit of some back and forth we set up an impromptu shoot at her place in Hollywood.

Shoots like these can either go good or be bad. There usually is no middle ground. Once meeting Tee I can tell she had some energy to her with her personality. The question was would it translate in front of the camera. 

Once we figured out wardrobe and where to shoot it started to click. For me it is always great to work with people who can bring a range to the shoot. Tee did just that.

Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne Are Barely Recognizable in Chaos SixtyNine's 2020 Calendar

The poster book also comes with cake recipes.

Arriving from CHAOS, founded by creative duo Katie Lyall and Charlotte Stockdale, is the latest iteration of its poster book, Chaos SixtyNine. The new release is the fourth issue of the publication and features a 2020 calendar starring none other than Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne, lensed by photographer Dexter Navy. Playing off of their collective nickname, CaKe, the calendar comprises of 24 perforated pages (meant to be torn out and placed as posters on your wall) that are accompanied by both Kendall and Cara’s favorite cake recipes from them and their family members – including ones for red velvet cake and New York cheesecake.

In the images, the two models don identical bobbed wigs. Styled in an array of different looks, that includes several variations of a construction worker uniform, the result is a nostalgic series of photographs that make for the perfect posters.
