Emporio Armani Teams up With Antonia for an Ultra-Functional 2016 Spring/Summer Collection

Milan's multi-brand fashion boutique Antonia has been tapped by Emporio Armani to create a brand-new Emporio Armani Remix capsule collection that features the ultimate urban lifestyle aesthetic. Created from a vision of dynamic urban mobility and low environmental impact, the pair also looked towards the universal language of music as reference for the new line. The functional garments incorporate a multitude of unique textiles such as neoprene for sweatshirts, parachute nylon on jackets and shorts, while technical cotton is utilized for leggings, which also features a macro-pattern of the Italian label's signature eagle logo. Moving on to the accessories, we are presented with sunglasses with perforated metal blinders, roll-up backpacks inspired by delivery boys, a turtle backpack helmet case, reflective sneakers and metallic headphones. Color palettes are well-defined and we find tones of asphalt grey, electric blues, as well as reflective print decorations throughout the items. Finally, the culmination of this project is found within the Remix Bike in anodised steel, which was developed in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan and is equipped with a special lithium ion battery that recharges during motion.
The Emporio Armani Remix capsule collection will be launched at an exclusive preview event at Milan's Excelsior Hotel on June 19, while the second floor of Antonia will host it's own special event with unique installations designed specifically for the occasion during Milan Fashion Week. A worldwide release is slated for September at select Emporio Armani stores, as well as the brand's online store.

A First Look at Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello / Tourne de Transmission's 2017 Spring/Summer Collection Wants You to 'Choose Your Escape Route'

Saint Laurent's new creative director Anthony Vaccarello just released two visuals for the luxury fashion house's latest image campaign. The Italian-Belgian fashion designer leveraged the stirring portfolio of American fashion photographer Collier Schorr—primarily recognized for her fictional and youthful portraits of men and women.
Collectively, there's nothing but morsels of clothing to observe. Still, folks adherent to YSL should be wide-eyed about these small clues. According to the press release, “black-and-white portraits of individuals and couples; a hint of the future of the house. Fifteen new faces, shot in Paris."
Vaccarello will presumably reveal more details on Saint Laurent's official website and Instagram account on June 20.






For its 2017 spring/summer collection, Tourne de Transmission looked to New York City-based contemporary artist Chris Dorland to help translate into clothing how shelters in some Third World countries are made from discarded Western billboards. On the runway presentation we see the technical construction that echoes the inspiration -- asymmetric hems, cutout sleeves, patchwork patterns and subtle hints of colorful graphics. There's also ripcord trims printed with the phrase "Choose Your Escape Route," as to hint at the theme of escapism in confined spaces. The range is very much in the context of elevated street style, and it showcases a lot of the popular silhouettes of today like the elongated tops, bomber jackets and leather biker jacket. Overall, the brand does a fine job evolving the technical aspect of its offerings and it will be exciting to see what they'll be able to produce for future collections ahead.

Gosha Rubchinskiy 2017 Spring/Summer Collection

Streetwear’s darling-of-the-moment, Gosha Rubchinskiy, took to the closest thing in Florence to Soviet-era architecture — an abandoned tobacco factory built in the ’30s — to exhibit his characteristically Russian ensembles that have catapulted his brand to the forefront of fashion verticals around the world. Invited by Pitti Immagine to show his latest offerings in age-old Firenze, Gosha inevitably incorporated elements of Italy in this latest collection, with janky pieces emblazoned with Italian streetwear brands of a decade or two ago, including the likes of FILA, Kappa and Sergio Tacchini. Levi’s also made a showing, partnering with Gosha to create several corduroy and denim numbers. However, the collection’s most outstanding pieces were arguably the tailored pieces echoing the style of the great Giorgio Armani, layered over bare skin in some instances for an undercurrent of sexuality, and over sportswear in other instances for jarring contrast.

Art Director Jodie Louise Morgan returns with another HYPEBAE editorial above. Photographer Dean Martindale and Morgan slowed it down — crafted to the “weekends” mood you’d be hard-pressed not to get hooked into the mischievous-yet-free spirited mood.
Models Terri Lee Blake and Christina Nadin were styled to relaxed proportions — there’s denim-and-striped combos and Good Hood’s “LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER” T-shirts. Stylist Morgan included her own items alongside brands including The House of Sunny, YMC x Katherine Hamnett and Axel Arigato trainers. Take note on styling your Topshop Boutique tux — why not go commando underneath? The weekends have never looked so good.

Cleveland Cavaliers Win Game 7 And LeBron James Named Finals MVP

LeBron James was unanimously named MVP of the NBA Finals for the third time following the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 93-89 win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 on Sunday.
Over the seven-game series, James averaged 29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists with an effective field goal percentage of 53.3. He became the third player to record a triple-double in Game 7 of the Finals, joining Jerry West in 1969 and James Worthy in 1988.
“Best player on the planet,” Cavs teammate Kyrie Irving said.
Later, Irving compared James to Ludwig van Beethoven: “I’m very thankful that I have a guy like that that’s leading our team that I can continue to learn from. And when my time does come of being able to lead a franchise and see the landscape of how it’s supposed to be composed, I watched Beethoven right now of LeBron James compose a game.
“He had a freakin’ triple-double in Game 7 of an NBA Finals game. There will still be naysayers, but I know it doesn’t matter to him. It doesn’t matter to me. All that matters is we’re champions, and our whole team is etched in history.”
James won consecutive Finals MVPs in 2012 and 2013, when he notched his first two titles with the Miami Heat. He returned to Cleveland as a free agent in July 2014. In addition to delivering the city its first major sports championship since 1964, James led the Cavs in becoming the first team in NBA history to rally from a 3-1 series deficit to win the Finals.
