Ralph Lauren Brings Back the Iconic Polo Bear Sweater
The story goes, the Polo Bear was a collectible Steiff teddy bear outfitted in Ralph Lauren apparel, given to the designer as a birthday present during the company’s early years. Known for his impeccable taste, Lauren made the bears available to customers before getting the idea to put it on sweaters. In 1991, the Polo Bear sweater debuted. Since then, they’ve become one of the company’s most popular (although unofficial) mascots.
The “Bring It Back” Polo Bear sweater drops tomorrow over at the line’s web shop. There will be one version for men and another for women. Polo.com
