Afropunk, a platform dedicated to building spaces that empower the Black community, has partnered up with adidas to reimagine the Triple Platforum sneaker.
“What has brought Afropunk and adidas together is a set of shared values of wanting to provide a platform for young, black creative voices to express themselves freely through art, fashion and music. Partnering with adidas is a special moment for us,” said Anita Asante, head of global strategic partnerships at Afropunk, in a press release. “Our community continues to move culture forward with ingenuity and resistance, and this year we will celebrate the innovators across our global community of tastemakers who are creating a new world before your eyes.”
With black as the dominant shade, the footwear style’s upper is crafted from supple leather and features the sportswear brand’s iconic Three Stripes and Trefoil logo on the tongue. Elsewhere, a touch of white can be found above the triple-stacked rubber sole. Rounding off the design are the padded ankle straps and the buckles over the laces

Dubbed SPICE, the ’90s-inspired platform silhouette features a knee skin-hugging, pull-on design. The upper is crafted from vegan-friendly stretch material, while the platforms and heels are custom-made by the label. Rounding the footwear style off is the brand’s signature metal “wolfe” head plaque embedded into the heels. You can style the SPICE with a figure-hugging mini dress or opt for flared jeans and a graphic tee like Bretman Rock.

The duo has reworked NB’s RC ELITE running shoe in a red and white colorway. The kicks come with a breathable 3D knit material, which is ripped across the upper to reveal Stone Island’s compass logo on the right and NB’s graphics on the right shoe. The “N” motif remains stitched onto the laterals, while co-branding further continues on the tongue. In addition to the design, the sneaker is equipped with tech-focused features such as the FuelCell midsole.
The co-designed RC ELITE SI will be available for preview from October 7 to 10 at select Stone Island locations. An official release will follow on October 12 at the Italian brand’s web store.
