The brands have commissioned BUSCEMI for its iconic mid-top sneaker silhouette, which is dressed in an olive green upper with darker green leather detailing and a white midsole. The “BUSCEMI” logo is stamped on the tongue patch, while the Emotionally Unavailable’s signature heart logo is found on the metal lock on the front. The brands also tapped Japanese label readymade for its range of multi-sized bags, which are made with the same olive green color and feature Emotionally Unavailable logos and various numbering and lettering stamped in black or white that align with the collection’s military aesthetic. The Emotionally Unavailable x UNITED ARROWS & SONS Military collection will be released May 22 in limited quantities, at approximate prices of $1,241 USD for the BUSCEMI sneakers, $1,241 USD for the readymade bags in small, and $1,365 USD for the bags in large.

Coming soon from Nike Sportswear is the brand new Air Max Invigar. Due out later this year on the occasion of the Air Max 95′s 20th anniversary, the new silhouette essentially takes the original runner and injects the classic with a number of contemporary technologies. Seen here in the aforementioned 95′s iconic “Neon” colorway, the new Invigar employs a number of OG stylistic cues — including the shoe’s signature gradient and overall shape — but now sees a streamlined upper that ditches multilayered paneling in favor of breathable mesh and Hyperfuse while the sole’s full-length Max Air unit has been scrapped in favor of Max Air in the heel and forefoot Free tooling. The German retailer teamed up with ASICS for a “Black Koi” version of the GEL-Lyte III. As opposed to first drop, this release finds the retro runner outfitted with a stark black toebox, contrasted by a perforated leather and grey suede paneling at the midfoot. After the auction began today, the sneaker will be available for bidding until May 23, with all proceeds going to benefit the Kinderhospiz “Regenbogenland Düsseldorf” – a Düsseldorf-based children’s hospital. Having already released the “Laser Cut” pack back in March, ASICS has unveiled a new light grey version that wasn’t included in the initial release. The retro runner sports a clean grey suede upper and features intricate laser cut perforations across the toe box and side panel for a distinctive look. Contrasting brown accents throughout and an unique wood grain panel placed at the heel counter completes the sneaker’s design. Nike has revived its iconic Dunk Hi silhouette with another version of the denim makeover we saw with the Nike Dunk CMFT “Black Denim” last month. Notorious for appropriating other people’s photos in his own context, Richard Prince has made an illustrious career in art, with his most expensive works selling between $3.4 million and $8 million USD. Previous appropriations include a snap of Brooke Shields naked at aged 10 and an extensive exhibition at the New York’s Gagosian Gallery titled New Portraits. His latest showing takes to Frieze Art Fair where he’s blown up portraits sizing out to 48 x 65 inch of people he’s found scrolling through Instagram. The images are screenshots taken with his smartphone and feature a short message by Prince himself as the last comment on each one. Dubbed by art critics as “genius trolling,” some of the images are marked up to $100, 000 USD. Not a single cent will go to the photographers, since his work falls under fair use.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High Returns in OG "Chicago" Colorway
One the most coveted sneakers in Jordan Brand’s replete archive is the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, which is set for a comeback this month. Prized for its simple yet symbolic complexion, the sneaker will return in its OG colorway of white, black and varsity red — hues synonymous with Jordan’s seminal tenure for the Chicago Bulls. The high top silhouette features a leather upper with black Swoosh complemented by black “Wings” logo tab — which pays homage to J’s long wingspan and ability to maneuver across the court. Adhering to its OG characteristics, the Jumpman heel logo is omitted as the emblem was only introduced to the Jordan series from the IIIs onwards.
