Surf on Wool With the Woolrich x Almond Surfboards Collection

Woolrich Woolen Mills has struck an unlikely partnership with Almond Surfboards & Designs to lend a novel, wool-swathed bent to surfwear. The centerpiece of the “Wax & Wool” collection is a custom surfboard hand-shaped by Almond using graphics inspired by Woolrich, including the classic buffalo check, a topographic print of the Allegheny Mountains surrounding the historic Woolrich Woolen Mill, and an all over “surfing sheep” custom logo created for the collaboration. Otherwise, the collection also features an array of graphic tees, crewneck fleece, twill shorts, bleach blankets and hats, all of which are made in the U.S.
Look for this collection to drop online at Woolrich and Almond Surfboards, or in-store at Woolrich locations in New York and Boston.

Beyoncé premiered her one-hour long LEMONADE special on HBO. Shortly after the premiere, Beyonce released a 12-track album called Lemonade which includes the single Formation available exclusively on TIDAL. LEMONADE includes guest appearances by The Weeknd, James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, and Jack White. With production by Just Blaze, Diplo, Mike WiLL Made-It, Boots, Hit-Boy and more. The album comes four days before Beyonce is set to kick off her Formation World Tour” with special guest DJ Khaled on Apr. 27 in Miami, FL.

TIME'S 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE

TIME‘s annual look at the most influential people in the world has arrived for 2016. As you might expect, Pope Francis, President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg all make the list while newcomers include the likes of Stephen Curry, director Ryan Coogler and Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame. Miranda even graces one of this year’s six different covers, as do Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, actress Priyanka Chopra, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan.

RIP PRINCE "ONE OF THE GREAT ONE'S HE WILL BE MISSED!!!!!" SKIP FEEL FREE

The 57-year-old singer was found unresponsive in an elevator at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson said.
Paramedics tried to perform CPR but were unable to revive him, the sheriff said. He was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m., less than 30 minutes after sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical call at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, Olson said. An autopsy is scheduled to take place Friday.
Prince’s publicist confirmed his death but didn’t provide details about the possible cause or who was with the musician.
“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning,” publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said.

It all started in Paris when photographer Brian Ach decided to switch things up and captured Prince in mid-performance in a more artistic and less ‘standard concert-shot” aproach. After showing the legendary musician the results, Ach was hired as his tour photographer. Ach has since shadowed Prince through his 2011 ‘Welcome 2′ tour across North America, Europe and Australia — a significant length of adventure that must have seen some great and amazing things only privy to those lucky enough to be there. In an interview given to DP Review by Ach, we get a snippet of what that experience must have been like.

“Prince owned his public image. He was one of the first artists to start buying out photographers and his music, to refuse to have his interviews recorded. He made sure there was nothing out there that he felt cheapened his image or his music.”
