Nike's New Headquarters Includes a Giant Indoor Basketball Court That Seats 400 Spectators

                                  

Nike’s
relationship with New York City runs deep and has been growing over the years. Recently, the Swoosh unveiled its brand new headquarters in New York City covering an estimated 150,000 square feet.
Within its six floors you’ll find an open-plan aesthetic providing a freestyle work space. A countless amount of conference rooms are placed throughout the space which features custom ceiling tiles made up of recycled materials designed by Miniwiz. A roof terrace serves as a complement to the headquarters which hosts plants in the shape of a huge Nike Swoosh which is easily noticeable from great distances, also allowing for an area of relaxation for employees and guests. You’ll also find a food truck casually parked within the building which will host a numerous amount of vendors.
Its main attraction is its 4,000-square-foot indoor basketball court for those looking to take a break and shoot some hoops. The full-length court will soon hosts high school teams, community partners, local leagues and more as it comfortably sits 400 spectators.

Danish designer Henrik Vibskov‘s Spring/Summer 2018 collection was a dreamlike event, quite literally in the sense that it explored the different layers of subconsciousness we experience in our sleep. In fact, the collection was inspired by a performer who actually fell asleep during Vibskov’s show from last season. But aside from the amusing premise, the collection’s spirited sense of tranquility and surrealism was easily seen in the pastel assemblage of striped pajama prints, the poppy-print kimono robe, the cartoon graphics and the baby-doll cuts. Thematic accessories such as the under-eye mask patches, the playful socks and slipper-like shoes all contributed to the cozy and idyllic theme. Drawing back the curtains, HYPEBEAST had the chance to go backstage to get a glimpse of the pillowy garments and enchanting setting up close.

Cali Thornhill DeWitt & Brendan Fowler's Some Ware Show Was Everything They Do Best

Cali Thornhill DeWitt and Brendan Fowler‘s held their first fashion show in Paris yesterday. Showcasing a who’s who of models — from Mitsuhiro Kubo, buyer at Tokyo shop GR8, Tremaine Emory of No Vacancy Inn, Japanese fashion model Kozue Akimoto, and Mark McGinnis of HS-Crown-winning label The Incorporated — the collection took cues from the duo’s past in the music world. Full of graphic-printed tees and edgy layered looks, Thornhill-Dewitt showed us he was no stranger to the merch game.
Many of the collection’s designs have been crafted from recycled cotton, scraps from their Los Angeles factory. Incorporating a bevy of boxy looks, the show also offered up workwear-inspired trousers and smock dresses made from deadstock fabric. Some Ware is also releasing a patchwork fabric tote bag to go along with the outfits.

For Paris Fashion Week Men’s 2018, the luxury French imprint offered a slew of modern takes on classic pieces spanning tropical Hawaiian shirts, Rockabilly tops, Bowling button-downs alongside loose trousers to complete each look. It goes without saying that beach vibes exude from the collection especially with violet sand mounds ladened across the venue.
