Meant to capture the essence of a classic automobile in the form of a watch, the Ralph Lauren 45 MM Ceramic Automotive Watch is inspired by a 1938 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic coupe. The matte-black ceramic chronograph features a Swiss-made automatic movement, an outer elm burl wood dial and a printed tachymeter scale. Some may find the placement of the three circular displays a nuisance as they envelope most of the hour hand markings, but aside from the cosmetic implications, the watch is a fine example of a classic watch.
