- In commemoration of his second annual SPEZIAL Exhibition, curator Gary Aspden has teamed up with adidas and Nigel Lawson, owner of Manchester’s menswear store, Oi Polloi for an all-new silhouette nicknamed, “adidas Ardwick.” The final product sports an apple-green suede upper, which was inspired by Lawson’s favorite Lacoste polo. The shoe’s name is derived from Ardwick Park, a suburb in Manchester, which Lawson acknowledges as spurring his interest for clothing. The shoe is finished with matching green shoe laces, and an equally hairy, suede outer sole. Set to be released this November, the adidas Ardwick will be available for purchase in-store at Oi Polloi as well as through its online shop.
