Inspired by the sweeping curves of a particular 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic coupe, Ralph Lauren has released the Sporting Automotive Chronograph ahead of next year’s prestigious international watch conference SIHH. The evocative watch face sports a black matte galvanic centre dial with brown elm burl wood outer decor and sword-shaped hour and minute hands. The whole affair is encased by a 44.8mm steel case with a fixed steel bezel, with a convex sapphire crystal protecting the face. Additionally, a sapphire crystal back offers a view of the caliber RL751A/1 with a movement beating at 4Hz and a power reserve of 65 hours. The watch strap of black alligator finishes the design off nicely. For more information, head to Ralph Lauren.
