Packer Shoes Is Dropping An Exclusive "Triple Red" ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer
Last fall, ASICS dropped a special “Triple Red” edition of the GEL-Kayano in GORE-TEX to combat the unpredictable weather of the cooler months. Now the brand is bringing back the look, this time teaming up with New Jersey’s Packer Shoes for an exclusive drop. Echoing the look of the aforementioned release, the kicks come in an all-red colorway, but ditch the GORE-TEX in favor of all-suede construction.
You can expect the release to be available in-store and online today, April 6 beginning at 12 p.m. EDT.

A Closer Look at the ASICS GEL-Lyte III "Japanese Textile"

We get a closer look at ASCIS‘ ravishing new polka dot-themed GEL-Lyte III, officially dubbed the “Japanese Textile” edition. Paying homage to the company’s longstanding Japanese roots, this iconic GEL-Lyte III model gets treated with high quality Japanese selvedge denim for that extra premium touch. The model’s striking upper has been crafted from premium Okayama denim that’s been dyed with a dark indigo wash and a straight edge weave, while the selvedge fabric, which signifies the rebirth of classic workwear styles that became so prominent in the ’40s and ’50s, is carefully stitched along the quarter panels, heel counter and collar lining. Light tan nubuck overlays boldly contrast with the dark indigo upper while leather tiger stripes and a clean white midsole round out the sneaker’s unique look.

Japan’s UNITED ARROWS & SONS teams up with ASICS again for another all-blue rendition of the GEL-Lyte V. The ASICS classic silhouette is treated with a suede upper cast in monotone navy, and sports neoprene and leather accents throughout. The subtle yet well-executed design includes a contrastingly white inner sock lining, and comes with an additional color-matching pair of laces. The UNITED ARROWS & SONS x ASICS GEL-Lyte V is now available at UNITED ARROWS locations and stockists like Sneaker Politics.
