A new photography exhibition based on the work of Yohji Yamamoto is set to launch at the Daikanyama Hillside Forum in Tokyo later this month, accompanied by a pop-up store selling exclusive products by the iconic Japanese designer. “Yohji Yamamoto/Mode Photograph” brings together a vast array of original prints and posters by domestic and foreign photographers who have photographed Yohji Yamamoto’s clothes over the years. Expect to see works by the likes of Craig McDean, David Sims, Ines van Lamsweerde, Vinoodh Matadin, Peter Lindbergh and Max Vadukul alongside documentary work by Wim Wenders and a range of runway images. Both the exhibition and pop-up store run from December 17 to January 15 at Daikanyama Hillside Forum, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo Sarugakucho 18-8.
