Famed Ferrari and Lamborghini design house Giugiaro Design once again teams up with Seiko for a new limited edition timepiece. Having worked together on many timepieces in the past — including Ripley’s Aliens watch — the latest incarnation of their combined design vision sees a revamped GPS Astron.
Encased in a 46.3mm x 13.3mm titanium body, the solar-powered watch packs a lot of functionality with its GPS world-time and chronograph function. The timepiece’s bracelet is also composed of titanium and a sapphire crystal. Seiko’s “super-clear” coating sits atop. Other specs include water resistance at 10 bar/100 meters and a 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance. Limited to just 3,000 pieces and at a price of $2,900 USD, head over to the Seiko x Giugiaro site for details on retailers.
The latest installment in Ridley Scott’s Alien franchise Alien: Covenant will be hitting theaters on May 19. Seiko is also set to re-release the watch worn by Steve Jobs in a portrait from 1984.
