After appearing in Virgil Abloh‘s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the MCA Chicago, industry rumblings have suggested that the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow” is due for a 2020 release. Skater Erik Arteaga further stoked rumors by posting a video of himself skating in the “Canary Yellow” colorway to his Instagram.
The “Canary Yellow” shoes boast a mix of white and bright yellow that dominates the model’s deconstructed upper. Accenting the upper is a variety of exposed mesh, leather and suede, along with the signature stitched-on midfoot Swooshes. Additional branding comes in the form of Off-White™ director Virgil Abloh‘s now-signature industrial-inspired branding on the medial side, laces and midsole, Jordan Brand Wing-embossed collar panels and “Nike Air” tongue tags. Finally, the shoe is replete with an off-white midsole emblazoned with with “AIR” markings and a yellow rubber outsole that matches the hues seen above.
