The Hundreds has tapped the Los Angeles-based artist Blue the Great for a capsule comprised of T-shirts, hoodies and shorts.
This one-of-a-kind collaboration between the two has been in the works for years. Blue the Great says that The Hundreds was the first brand “he ever felt like he was a part of,” and now the duo realize his works in a series of art-adorned pieces perfect for Spring/Summer 2020.
Blue the Great’s paint-covered overalls serve as inspiration for some of the pieces in the collection, with a pair of shorts sporting an all-over print that clones the randomized pattern of spilled paint found on the overalls. Furthermore, The Hundreds’ Wildfire Flag and its iconic Adam Bomb mascot have been reinterpreted, with the flag getting a wood-effect in black, yellow and red and the bomb sporting a rubber band-like look.
Elsewhere, Blue the Great channels his love for primary colors with a ball pit graphic that features the bomb motif in its design. Rounding out the collection are T-shirts and hoodies adorned with the collaborative logo, which combines a bubble graffiti-font “Blue” stamp alongside The Hundreds’ moniker. The Hundreds also confirms that everything in the Bue the Great x The Hundreds collection will comfortably complement the Air Jordan 1s he made last year, thanks to the shared use of primary colors.
