Frankies Bikinis
Founded by Francesca Aiello, Frankies Bikinis’ styles are inspired by the aesthetic of Malibu. Designed and produced in Los Angeles, Aiello’s offerings arrive in an array of silhouettes, colorways and patterns. Since its establishment in 2012, the label has had the opportunity to collaborate with other brands like Alo Yoga and influential figures like Hailee Steinfeld and Naomi Osaka.
OOKIOH
OOKIOH is a modern, sustainable brand that produces its swimwear out of fabric sourced from an Italian mill, which is made out of 100 percent regenerated materials. As part of its sustainability initiative, the label has vowed to completely eliminate plastic from its footprint until 2023.
Araks
Araks Yeramyan’s eponymous lingerie and swimwear label sticks to the less is more approach. Featuring minimal designs, Araks’ swimsuits arrive in bikinis and one-pieces that cater to individuals of all shapes and sizes. “We’re working with a mill to develop biodegradable swimwear materials,” Yeramyan shared with the CFDA back in 2019. “The traditional swim materials are very toxic to the environment and take a lot to breakdown in landfills.”
Solid & Striped
Founded in 2012, Solid & Striped‘s timeless swimwear designs are made out of the finest fabrics sourced from around the globe. Most recently, the brand teamed up with tennis player Sloane Stephens for a 15-piece collaborative collection of bikinis, one-piece swimsuits and other beachwear.
Lokiki
Inspired by art, architecture and the natural world, Lokiki focuses on clean lines, timeless modern shapes and neutral colorways. All of the label’s swimsuits are made from Italian recycled fabric, which boasts a soft and durable feel. Additionally, the silhouettes are double-layered, providing you with the support you need.
The Attico
Based in Milan, The Attico recently launched a new line of beachwear for the Summer 2021 season. Standouts in its “State of Nature” range include the metallic green triangle bikini, ocean blue racerback one-piece, chain-adorned swimsuit and baby pink two-piece set. “Through beachwear, we aim at suggesting a feeling of ease with oneself, a sensation of confidence that comes from the balance of inside and outside and that projects strength, power, positivity,” co-founders Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini said in a press release.
SIR.
Australia-based label SIR. creates flattering styles dressed in a variety of hues and prints. Ranging from triangle tops to one shoulder one-pieces, SIR.’s suits are stocked in limited quantities in order to reduce unnecessary waste and limit its environmental impact.
