Callux and Rockwell Princely Daroen‘s London-based sneaker brand notwoways has cracked the code for sell-out releases, and following previous hugely successful drops comes its latest silhouette: the ARW in “afterdark.”
The “afterdark” release is without a doubt notwoways’ most daring to date, but in the brand’s usual way it combines a contemporary silhouette and fool-proof touches with its unique design language to deliver a shoe that’s sure to sell out like the rest of its pairs. For the first time in the brand’s 11-month-long existence, it has decided to craft a knitted upper, intersecting the black weave with reflective components that shine under a flash.
notwoways’ identity is evident given the “afterdark’s” sole unit, which is an elevated piece based on previous pairs that the brand continues to learn from. Here, the midsole is served in black alongside an icy outsole, which lends itself to the details on the upper such as the lateral front-quarter cut-out.
Elsewhere, we find rope laces that can be taken out for a laceless look, an orange heel pull tab and a branded tongue tag, and suede that wraps the bumper and heel (with the latter sporting “ntw” branding on the medial side).
As per usual, the “afterdark” drop will be exclusive to notwoways’ website. It is due to launch on July 31 at 6 p.m. BST (1 p.m ET) in a size run of UK 3 to UK 13, costing just £120 GBP a pair (approx. $165 USD).
Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.64%) and its Nike Sportswear division is home to some of the most iconic silhouettes that the sneaker industry has even seen, and one of the models that continues to withstand the test of time is the Air Force 1. And to cap off the month of July, the Swoosh team is gearing up to deliver a three-pronged set of the classic model, all of which are graced with luxe golden trim.
Arguably the most striking variation of the three is the “Oil Green” offering. The UNDEFEATED-reminiscent hue dominates a majority of the base as it floods the tongues, laces and leather paneling while notes of black tap the tongue tabs, Swooshes, heel overlays and interior liners. Pops of gold appear on the forefoot Swooshes, midsole Air hits, tongue branding, heel embroidery and around the side panel Swooshes. Elsewhere in the set you’ll find “White” and “Black” iterations. The former almost channels a look similar to that of the white Power Ranger, while the latter rendition more so skews to the elevated side of the spectrum.

Eastside Golf launched in 2019 and was founded by pro golfers Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper. The former Morehouse golf comrades chose the active portrait of a Black man swinging a golf club while sporting a gold chain as the trademark for the golf lifestyle brand.
Since that design appeared on their t-shirts, hats, and fleece in Detroit, Michigan, Eastside Golf has taken off. They have recently released merchandise at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and are distributed internationally. Its collection also includes accessories like ball markers, club covers, and socks. The brand’s message and logo concurrently challenge and attests to golf. Both Ajanaku and Cooper wanted to diversify the caucasion, substantial, male-dominated game.
Eastside Golf and Jordan Brand‘s collaboration involves the Air Jordan 4 Golf, which has been seen on the course very often worn by PGA Tour pros Pat Perez and Bubba Watson. Their take on the popular profile is a colorway of the sacred “White Cement” AJ4. By virtue of the silhouette, leathers are dressed in a lustrous white appearance, while the wings, outsole, and heel tab contrast in the spotted texture. The eye stay unit is gold, and the tongue Eastside Golf logo is placed on the tongue.

Bo Jackson went to Auburn, not Georgetown, but his Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.64%) Air Trainer SC High has been brought back in a “Wolf Grey/Obsidian” colorway that gives off a healthy dose of Hoyas vibes. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and first released in 1990, the Air Trainer SC was known as a go-anywhere, do-anything training shoe. Now, 30 years later, it’s a lifestyle favorite that releases sporadicly — but always has a story to tell when it does drop.
The story on this “Wolf Grey/Obsidian” pair is its two-tone colorblocking, with a perforated grey nubuck base embellished by smooth navy nubuck overlays that run from the forefoot to the heel. On the rear, a strap-like piece surrounds a bold Nike text hit. Each side also features a duo of strap-like grey overlays with navy contrast stitching, and a white midfoot Swoosh on the lateral side adds some light contrast into the mix. Down below, midsoles are done up in white and house a visible Air unit in the heel. Outsoles take on an icy grey shade of their own. Moving back up top, the look is completed by thin grey rope laces and an original “Made in Vietnam” tag on the inside of the tongue.

Nike has given its women’s Air Max 90 SE silhouette a new look. Covered in “Fossil Stone,” “Ashen Slate,” “Coconut Milk” and “Twist,” the sneaker‘s colorway is inspired by hiking.
The upper is crafted from textured suede material and comes with a breathable mesh base. Hues of pastel pink, muted blue, orange and yellow dominate the footwear style, creating a vibrant aesthetic perfect for the summer. For added contrast, the hiking-style lacing system is dressed in bold shades of red and black. Rounding out the design is the mini Swoosh on the toe and cream white translucent outsole.
The Air Max 90 SE “Fossil Stone” is already available in Asia, so expect the shoe to drop in the U.S. soon on Nike’s website.
Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.64%) ‘s Air Max BW “Persian Violet” is one of the most notable Air Max silhouettes from the first half of the ’90s, and now it’s getting remixed with a new “Black Violet” colorway. Retaining all the signature purple details from its OG counterpart but turning down the hues a few notches, the Air Max BW “Black Violet” supplies an undeniably elegant interpretation of Tinker Hatfield‘s masterful 1991 design.
Uppers are crafted almost entirely of supple black leather, which is adorned with a signature rubberized violet Swoosh. There’s also a line of white trim that sits atop the mudguard and runs from toe to heel. More violet appears on the neoprene tongue, the collar lining and the heel’s rubberized Air Max spellout graphic. Final dashes of branding are supplied by the tongue’s debossed Nike Sportswear hit and the insole’s Nike International graphic. Violet and black meet one more time on the midsole, and a stark black Air Max unit in the heel finalizes the look.
The Nike Air Max BW “Black Violet” is available via Nike SNKRS Japan, and will likely arrive in the US soon. Its MSRP is set at ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $140 USD).
It’s Yeezy Season folks. Kanye West has generated a great amount of noise this week given that he’s on the verge of dropping his new album DONDA, and he’s kick started his roll out with listening parties in Las Vegas and Atlanta, and even made a glorious return on IG where his outfit grid stirred up plenty of attention once again as Nikesocks made another appearance. All music aside however, his footwear momentum is only starting to build up even more as on-foot images of his forthcoming adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE +1.76%) YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “MX Rock” have surfaced.
The pair was first previewed back in mid-April 2021 by YEEZY MAFIA, but now we have a detailed look at all of of its intricate details. Uppers are made with the traditional PrimeKnit constructions, and come decorated with a marbled amalgamation of black, rustic brown and gray hues. Post-dyed monofilament lateral side stripes slightly contrast as they are filled in with a stark black and the laces, liners and heel tabs follow suit. Packed inside the bottoms are the usual BOOST cushioning, all of which comes housed within a ribbed, black midsole.
Early reports are saying that these will be dropping in September, but adidas hasn’t made any official announcements yet. Retail price is set at the standard $220 USD.
Details of P.J. Tucker‘s diamond-Swoosh Air Jordan 1s have just arrived. Worn by the NBA champion to the final game vs. the Suns, the shoes were made by Dominic Ciambrone, aka The Shoe Surgeon, along with Jason of Beverly Hills.
Priced at roughly $250,000 USD, the sneakers see 2,020 brilliant D color white diamonds set into 150 grams of 14k white gold. Taking approximately 100 hours to complete, the total carat weight of both pairs adds up to 32.74 ct. These kicks were so crazy that even MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has to call them out during the team’s victory press conference.
