Film and car buffs will now be able to get their hand on one of the monster vehicles used in Mad Max: Fury Road. This month Lloyds Auctioneers is heading up the sale to give film enthusiasts with deep pockets a chance to purchase an iconic film prop.
Charlize Theron’s character, Imperator Furiosa’s heavy-duty War Rig as well as the Doof Wagon which saw the flaming guitar-rocking Doof Warrior strapped to its side, are both up for auction. The film featured a total of 13 cars from the 2015 Mad Maxproduction. In addition to the two aforementioned vehicles the Gigahorse, Nux Car, Razor Cola, Pole Car, Sabre Tooth, Fire Car, Caltrop: El Dorado and Buggy: Ratrod Chev are all up for grabs. Also listed is the Convoy Car Elvis and Flamer and the Buick: Heavy ARtillery with Hummer Weapon Mount.
It appears that all the vehicles will feature all the details seen in the film. The outrageous automotives each have a starting bid of $1 USD each, however, it is expected to go up for thousands or even millions. The auction is set to take place starting on September 26 and will be livestreamed nationwide. Check out Lloyds for more information on the auction.

Supreme has just teased one of its most outlandish accessories to date — the upcoming wheel collaboration with DUB.
Taking shape similar to DUB’s 2019 Wooze model of spinning rim, the 24” x 9” wheel receives a red and white makeover with the Supreme logo incorporated into the outer edges of the spinning patter while another ray pattern is placed in an opposite direction to give off the illusion that multiple parts are rotating at the same time.
Expected for a drop this Thursday, the Supreme Spinner Rim was teased on a black Rolls-Royce Cullinan while Key Glock’s “Russian Cream” can be heard over the video. There’s not much info on how limited these will be, but it is reported that a set of four will cost around $12,000 USD.
In January 2020, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the VISION AVTR — a car inspired by the 2009 blockbuster Avatar – and like the film, it wanted to bring humans and machines closer than ever using its “ADVANCED VEHICLE TRANSFORMATION” platform. Now, at the IAA Mobility 2021 showcase, the marque has announced the inclusion of brain-computer interfaces (BCI), meaning that the VISION AVTR can be controlled by the power of thought.
From selecting the navigation destination to changing the radio station or setting the ambient lighting, everything you see inside — and some of the outside functions — can be controlled using your brain. BCI is more than a gimmick, though, as it could open up possibilities to help disabled people drive, and in day-to-day life, BCI could change the way all of us use and interact with our cars.
It works by attaching the BCI device to the user’s head which subsequently measures brain waves that send information to the car, in turn telling it what to do. Real-time information derived from neuronal activity at the cortex is combined with the BCI that measures if a user is interacting with prompts on the screen in front of them, and together this can be used to control the dashboard. As Mercedes-Benz says, the dashboard can be used to “generate wind, grow plants, select parking spaces to charge, or turn day into night.”
We have seen this car before, and nothing on the exterior has changed. So, it features a “one-bow” design that’s dominated by the front, rear, and wheel lights and, of course, the big transparent door in the middle. There’s also a big focus on sustainability, as the car features “vegan DINAMICA leather made from recycled materials, fast-growing Karuun (rattan) that can only thrive in biodiversity, and organic, compostable battery technology [that] create a closed-loop economy.”

CASIO has released the CASIO Vintage A100WE, a watch that shows off the ideal balance of vintage-inspired style with the latest technology. The new release from the CASIO Vintage collection is offered in three metallic colorways with extra durability for daily wear and tear while on the wrist.
Each of the three iterations of timepiece — the silver edition (A100WE-1A), gold edition (A100WEG-9A) and the darker gunmetal edition (A100WEGG-1A) — includes a stainless steel band. Like other CASIO watches, the A100WE is water resistant and has a chrome-plated finish for protection. Designed for easy, everyday wear, the CASIO A100WE is a serious metal timepiece with a light weight feel.
Combining the latest in technology from the brand with the watch’s vintage leanings, the A100WE features an inverted LCD display and functions with a 1/10-second stopwatch. There’s also a LED-light, which allows the watch face to be subtly illuminated from the side. Zooming into the model, the top sector of the watch face includes markings for the month, date and day underneath the classic CASIO logo. The lower sector of the watch includes four buttons for time-keeping functions and light.
