Tom Sachs was on to something when he positioned his NikeCraft “General Purpose” sneaker as proudly “boring.” With sneakers as the new collectible, a “more is more” aesthetic has begun to run rampant. (Visualize Ned Flanders’ “Assassin” sneakers and you get the idea.)

But for every trend there’s a sub trend. What would once be marked as “boring” is magically repositioned as subversive in comparison to the bombastic sneaker styles that have gone mainstream.

The next “boring” drop causing excitement is coming from none other than adidas Skateboardingand pro skate legend Lucas Puig. The collaborators reunited for a new indoor skateboarding silhouette that inadvertently could be the minimalist fashion crowd’s summer go-to.

Available in gray, beige and black colorways, the adidas Skateboarding PUIG Indoor is a lighter version of its predecessor with a shorter break-in time. Dubbed the MS01, the e-bike takes inspiration from MUJI’s H-type bicycle — a simple and ergonomic design for everyday use. The collaboration comes after MUJI’s past team-up with Finnish tech company Sensible 4, featuring a miniature self-driving GACHA shuttle bus that launched back in 2019.

The MS01 arrives with 17-inch wheels, along with features such as keyless unlocking, LCD instrument panel, aluminum alloy handlebars and LED front and rear headlights. The e-bike needs to be charged only once or twice a week for daily use, and runs on a 400W motor and 48V lithium battery, with speeds going up to 25 km/h.

Take a closer look at the MS01 down below. The e-bike, priced at ¥4,980 CNY (approximately $744 USD) and arriving in black and white colorways, is limited to 5,000 units and available for purchase via WeChat “MUJI Travel.”

The release follows up on the luxury house’s extravagant releases in the past, including items like a branded baby stroller. Produced in the French Basque Country, the board offers a glimpse into creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s freedom and adventure. Each piece is crafted through a process of shaping and smoothing, before the board is laid over a special fabric covered with Dior’s emblematic blue Toile de Jouy print. The other side of the surfboard is highlighted with the “CHRISTIAN DIOR” logo and is complete with a special bag used for traveling.

Peep the design above. The Dior-branded surfboard is now available for $10,000 USD on Dior’s website.
