Stan Smith is more than just a shoe, he’s a man, a tennis player, and most importantly, one of the most influential names in footwear — so much so that it’s one of adidas‘ most popular silhouettes, resulting in dozens of collaborations and customs such as this wing tip brogue take courtesy of Sense of Symmetry.
For those that aren’t familiar with the Italian footwear studio, allow Sense of Symmetry to explain itself: “We are the bridge between what has been and what’s to come. We design silhouettes for those who are ready to move into a new era of style without letting go of their past entirely. Yes, we are an oxymoron. A link between past and future.”
With this, it takes sneaker customization to new realms as it combines icons like the adidas Originals Stan Smith with formality. Using the top part of a custom Stan Smith it cuts and sews, Sense of Symmetry mixes this with a new bottom half comprising black or white Italian calfskin leather that’s cut into the shape of a wing tip brogue.
From there, the shoe is fitted to a brogue sole unit which is also made from leather but sees rubber injection added for comfort. Elements like the Stan Smith heel tab are re-cut in calf leather, while a smooth outsole with grippy plugs, premium laces and a dust bag come as standard.

Original Story: The Air Jordan 9 may be the only Air Jordan silhouette from 1-14 that Michael Jordan didn’t wear on an NBA court, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking for prestige. MJ was pursuing his diamond dreams with the Birmingham Barons (a minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) when the Air Jordan 9 dropped in 1993, but instead of stymieing the silhouette his absence from the hardwood made it a potent placeholder. Now, it’s back once again with a new “Fire Red” colorway that’s set to release in November — official images of which have just surfaced.
“Fire Red” is, of course, a familiar scheme in the Air Jordan lineage. It’s graced the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 5 plus plenty of other Nike sneakers, but this is the first time it’s been applied to the Air Jordan 9. It’s mostly used as an accent color, turning up the heat on the eyestays, branded details and heel tabs, while the lion’s share of the design is split between white leather and high-gloss “Wolf Grey” patent leather. Outsoles round off the look with multicultural graphics and text that nod to MJ’s global impact on the game.
You can expect the Air Jordan 9 “Fire Red” to touch down via Nike SNKRS and select Swoosh stockists on November 5. Men’s pairs will be priced at $200 USD.

Following months of rumors, Drake‘s NOCTA label will be releasing its take on the Nike Air Force 1. Originally set to drop alongside the Certified Lover Boy album back in 2021, the official release of the NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Certified Lover Boy” has been highly speculated despite word of the shoes not being set to be available publicly.
The upcoming collaborative release expresses the classic “Triple White” colorway with an upper constructed by premium tumbled leather. Special detailing on the shoe includes heart-shaped toebox perforations, NOCTA branding embroidery at the rear and co-branded insoles. Elevating the shoe are AF1 sole units with the usual “AIR” markings replaced with “Love you forever” written in cursive and stars replaced with hearts.
Each pair of shoes will also come complete with an extra set of laces and special packaging marking the collaboration.
Priced at $160 USD, Drake’s NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Certified Lover Boy” is now set to release December 5 on NOCTA’s website, with a follow-up release via Nike SNKRS December 8.
As Nike wraps up its year of anniversaries, its Jordan Brand subsidiary is following suit. The Air Jordan 7 somewhat quietly celebrated its 30th year in business as the retro sneaker remains a staple in Air Jordan lineups each year. While the shoe didn’t receive as much attention as the Air Jordan 1 and 2, the latter of which had a standout year in terms of production, the Air Jordan 7 still played a key role with collaborations that included touches from Trophy Room, Bephies Beauty Supply and Quai 54.
Now, to close out the year, the Air Jordan 7 is set to launch in a new “Black Olive” colorway that taps into the sneaker’s history with its arrangement. Its design features a nubuck upper that operates with an olive base and black overlays in a combination reminiscent of 1992’s “Bordeaux” colorway. Unique patterning last spotted on this year’s “Afrobeats” pair also makes an appearance at the forefoot and heel. Adding to the color scheme, “Cherrywood Red” branding and midsole accents combine with hits of “Chutney” to complete the look.
Release for the Air Jordan 7 “Black Olive” is currently expected to take place December 28 via Nike and select retailers at a price of $200 USD. Expect it to appear on the SNKRS app in the coming weeks.
Nike has just presented a fresh iteration of its Air Max 1 silhouette, and now the sneaker is coming packed with multi-colored outsoles and pom-pom laces.
For the Swoosh, 2022 has been a year packed with anniversaries for several of its mainline silhouettes. One of which has been the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1, and with that, the shoe has dropped in various new iterations, with stand-outs coming in the form of the new “Magma Orange,” “Ale Brown,” and the “Liverpool” edition made in collaboration with Lebron James.
Now, Nike is pushing one of its cleanest editions of the year, and it’s been elevated with a playful edge. This new version of the sneaker has been made with a blend of tumbled, smooth, and suede overlays, while hues of white, and light grey take over the main foundations of the design.
Furthermore, the color scheme has been leveled up with a selection of colorful accents which include tones of green, pink, and orange. The latter can be spotted on the outsole, heels, and insoles while a small speckle of navy blue is used on the additional mini Swooshes and tongue branding. Rounding off the design, puffy white pom-pom laces are included alongside intricate red and silver accents next to the ankle.

In celebration of the Tony the Tiger mascot’s 70th birthday, PUMA (XETRA:PUM.DE +0.24%) partners with Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes for a two-piece sneaker collection featuring its classic PUMA Suede and Roma silhouettes. The special-edition PUMA Suede is found in hairy orange suede uppers with black tiger stripe details and blue felt co-branded tongue tabs.
Insoles feature vintage ad graphics of Tony the Tiger and sail white hues are featured across its lateral branding and sole units. Inspired by old Frosted Flakes cereal boxes, the Roma incorporates bright blue suede uppers with tiger stripes decorating the lateral logos and fragment graphics printed on the insoles. Rounding out the look are split white/red midsoles and dark gum rubber outsoles. Both collaborative pairs arrive in both adult and kid sizing.
The Frosted Flakes x PUMA Roma “Lapis Blue” and Frosted Flakes x PUMA Suede “Flame Orange” pairs are set to release on December 1 via Puma’s website and select retailers for $75 and $80 USD respectively.
Update: Select retailers such as Asphaltgold have now shared a release date of December 8 for the Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.29%) ACG Air Zoom Gaiadome GORE-TEX “Trails End Brown.” It’s priced at €225 EUR (approx. $234 USD) and expected to launch via Nike as well. Original Story: Adding to the frosty white and all-black winter boots, Nike ACG gives the Air Zoom Gaiadome GORE-TEX a “Trails End Brown” colorway. The brand’s technical sub-label is gearing up for the colder months with the three shades following a similar variation first seen on the Team USA members during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
Much like the Zoom Gaiadome FlyEase, the current offering opts for a lighter minimalistic design but with a comparable hardy build. The ankle collar comes with soft pillow-like padding in place of the initial synthetic layering and zip-up as the tongue runs down in the same coated material wrapped around with the ever-durable GORE-TEX material. Rope laces loop through metal hook eyelets with pull tabs added to the tongue and ankle. Hitting the toe, tongue, lateral, ankle and heel are the sportswear giant’s branding motifs while a brown rubber frame reading “TRAIL FRAME” runs across the heel. A split Air Zoom midsole is stacked over a matching outsole with the words “Designed, tested and made on planet earth” to finish off the look.
