Sorry for the slow down of updates! Things have been a little hectic with trade show season kicking off with Agenda in Long Beach this week. Speaking of which if you haven't already noticed Monica Alvarez is out here on behalf of V/SUAL taking over the Agenda Show snapchat. Monica has a great on camera presence so do yourself a favor and check out her story. With that being said it seems only appropriate that I share a photo set Monica and I created at her apartment on a recent N.Y. trip. She had been telling me that her place would be good to shoot in and she wasn't lying. For this set we went with a cozy vibe between the wardrobe and setting. This is definitely one of my favorite styles to shoot a model in. We got some good results but be sure to see below for yourself!

SNEAKERS: Public School's Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh Is for Friends and Family Only / Future Announces Partnership With Reebok

Public School's Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh Is for Friends and Family Only

Back in early June, the contemporary NY-based label Public School showcased something special at the backstage of its runway show — the PSNY x Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh. While we wait for more colorways to drop, Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker has provided a look at the upcoming silhouette on his Instagram. The PSNY x Air Jordan 1 Low No Swoosh comes stylishly fitted in a black tumbled leather upper offset by yellow placed on the sole and tongue unit. Black laces with gold tips finish off the design. This pair of Air Jordan 1 Low NS stands to be the only pair featuring color blocking. Even if we wanted to cop a pair, according to Cooper, this will be a Friends and Family release only. Check out the kicks below.

    Future Announces Partnership With Reebok
Fresh off a Rolling Stone cover story and the release of his E.T.: Esco Terrestrial project with DJ Esco, Future took to Instagram today to announce a partnership with Reebok. Future Hendrix joins the likes of Kendrick Lamar, who himself has already dropped a number of high profile collabs with the brand — the latest of which came in the form of a Classic Leather Quickstrike. Said Todd Krinsky, Global Vice President of Reebok Classic and Entertainment:
Future exudes the type of fearlessness and authenticity that Reebok Classic stands for. This partnership not only continues our brand’s longstanding legacy of working with the world’s best hip hop artists, but also solidifies Reebok Classic’s commitment to never back down from pushing boundaries. I’ve had a preview of what’s to come from Future and Reebok and I can’t wait for everyone to see!
    The Freebandz leader himself added:
I’m excited to kick off the summer with Reebok by my side. It’s a natural fit for me to work with a brand like Reebok that also shares my beliefs in moving culture forward and being passionate in what you believe in. Not only am I honored, but I feel privileged to be a part of the family.
Check out Future in the Vector-clad “Overbranded” Instapump Fury below and stay tuned for what the rapper and sportswear label are cooking up.

STYLE ART: IKEA and HAY Announce Collaborative Collection With Surreal Teaser / Neon Lights and B&W Photography in Javier Martín's "Blindness Collection"

IKEA and HAY Announce Collaborative Collection With Surreal Teaser
IKEA is teaming up with Danish furniture designers HAY for a collaborative collection of home goods, and the pair have formalized the announcement with a surreal teaser video, seen above. According to creative director Nikolaj Fremming, the striking, abstract visuals eschew any actual product placements; instead, the clip showcases the materials and spaces that the companies will use in the upcoming YPPERLIG collection (note: “ypperlig” is Swedish for “good, excellent”). The capsule is sure to marry both companies’ classically Scandinavian minimalist aesthetics of high quality and clean lines with overall affordability and practicality.

Multidisciplinary Spanish artist Javier Martín has spent the majority of his career exploring the ideas of contemporary beauty standards. In his latest “Blindness Collection” series, he brings together black and white photography, painting and neon lights to undermine the perfection of fashion portraits. The grittiness of the paint’s texture is intended to create imperfections, while the neon covering the eyes block the viewers from observing the models’ emotions. For a closer look at the series, check out the photos above, or catch the showing at Valli Art Gallery in Miami.

Snoop Dogg and The Game Hold Peaceful Demonstration at LAPD Headquarters

Snoop Dogg and The Game Hold Peaceful Demonstration at LAPD Headquarters

When Snoop Dogg and The Game teamed up to lead a demonstration at the LAPD headquarters this Friday morning, the rappers were met with a throng of newly graduated officers being sworn into the force. It was a case of coincidence rather than Tha Doggfather having deliberately scheduled to host the march at the same time of the law enforcement ceremony, as per KNX 1070.
The rappers met with Mayor Eric Garcetti and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck—to show the pair that the demonstration was all about “peace, love and happiness … It’s not going to be frustration and anger.” Having added on Instagram: “We’re here to get some dialogue … some communication.” Talk of the demonstration had also quickly unfurled through The Game’s Instagram with a slew of supporters using the affiliated hashtags “#HUNT,” “#HATEUSNOTTODAY” and “#HUNTUSNOTTODAY.”
The Game said the purpose of the peaceful protest was “to make the Californian government & its law branches aware that from today forward, we will be UNIFIED as minorities & we will no longer allow them to hunt us or be hunted by us !!! Let’s erase the fear of one another on both sides & start something new here in the city of Los Angeles, a city we all love & share.”
The demonstration comes just several hours when snipers killed five Dallas police officers during a protest on Thursday—an apparent response to the recent deaths of two men who were killed by officers in Minnesota and Louisiana. Here’s what Snoop had to say about the Dallas assassinations above.

    VFILES Launches Fully-Crowdsourced Magazine 'WOMB'
VFILES has teamed up with longtime collaborator Kevin Amato to produce WOMB, a fully-crowdsourced magazine that features community-generated content. This innovative way of print publishing is aimed at a younger cohort, and has gained the support of Calvin Klein, Luka Sabbat (who is named curatorial director at large), along with CL and will.i.am. The first issue is entitled “We’ve Got Issues,” and features the work of members from vfiles.com‘s community of creatives.
“In my work, I sacrifice a lot to work with mainly emerging artists and that’s why VFILES is important to me—it’s a movement that supports the artist, empowers them, and gives them the tools to network and create. The WOMB reader is more about connecting with their peers, connecting with a global society that’s innovative in culture from business and science to music and fashion”, explains Kevin Amato.
Take a look at the magazine above, which will be available July 11 online and in-store.
