Play Cloths ’77 Mid & Goldie Loafer

Through its efforts – the highlights of which include lavish presentations in grand renaissance-style halls – Play Cloths has done well to transcend being written off as ‘just another streetwear brand.’ Riding the experience of its collaborations with Saucony, Reebok and Pro-Keds, here we find Play Cloths finally asserting an in-house capsule of footwear, done with the same meticulous attention as previously – and then some. Again anchored in the luxe star pattern from previous releases, the two silhouettes here represent the hallmark inspirations of Play Cloths as a whole. The athletic ’77 Mid is a luxurious take on basketball sneakers, outfitted with full-grain Italian leather around the upper, featuring a hidden lacing system and supple quilting detail at the heel and ankle. Meanwhile, the Goldie Loafer is meant for gala statements, with the slip-on fashioning slick lines and a welted hard-bottomed outsole. Available in extremely limited quantities, both rarities will retail for $265 USD and have already launched on Play Cloths’ website.
