John Galliano Set to Join Maison Martin Margiela as Creative Director
Controversial British designer John Galliano finds himself fully back in the fashion fold securing a prestigious post at Maison Martin Margiela. Following his infamous anti-semitic rant in 2011 which saw him dropped by Christian Dior, the disgraced, and seemingly forgiven, design legend will takeover as Creative Director at Margiela. Overseeing couture, womenswear and men’s ready-to-wear, his work will debut in Paris next January. Renzo Rosso, President of MMM managing group OTB, comments “I couldn’t be happier, for the Maison Margiela, which deserves a new visionary leader, and for John Galliano, who is a talent beyond definition and time. I always believed in brave, unpredictable choices…”
