Inspired by the ubiquitous Nespresso makers, critically-acclaimed industrial designer Marc Newson teamed with Heineken to create a draft beer machine for your home. “The Sub” as it is called can be filled with pressurized modules aptly called “Torpes” that supply up to two liters of your favorite beer with the simple tug of its handle. ”It’s not only about beer, it’s also about the greater experience of drinking beer,” said Newson, a beer drinker himself. “Of course we want this object to look good, but this is not something that we wanted people to have to endure in order to have fresh beer.” The Sub is available in both silver and black in France and Italy today.
