Takashi Murakami is bringing his iconic “Flowers” series to the kitchen with a special pancake pan that stamps your breakfast with the artist’s smiling floral design. A collaboration with Japan’s smart magazine, the cookware is made of sturdy metal constructed with a raised print of Murakami’s signature flower. A matching flower-printed handle adds to the cheerful design.
Pre-orders for smart magazine’s April issue, which includes the pan, are already sold out. However, Murakami fans can try their luck during a second pre-order period launching on January 25 at Amazon Japan and Rakuten Books.Basketball has been around for 130 years since its establishment in Springfield, Massachusetts. In celebration of this milestone, Converse has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2021 collection featuring signature silhouettes.
Highlights include the brand’s “Breaking Down Barriers” range, an homage to the Crispus Attucks High School basketball team who won Indiana’s basketball championship from 1954 to 1955. The pack consists of the Chuck 70 and Pro Leather dressed in the team’s colors.
Elsewhere, the “Then & Now” line honors the year 1971 when “Converse’s original canvas basketball shoe left the court and became a cultural icon; and 2019, when Converse stepped back into the game,” as per a press release. Finally, the “The Iridescent Pack” highlights the G4 Low and the All Star BB Evo.
