Elon Musk and Tesla are still months away from revealing the new pickup truck named Model P, but Istanbul-based designer Emre Husmen has shared his vision of what the EV pickup truck could look like with his very own concept.

Adopting Tesla’s sleek design style, Husmen created a beautiful and detailed rendering of a powerful and futuristic pickup, boasting Tesla’s signature solid front with fenders flowing into a streamlined windshield and roof. The narrower waistline of the vehicle draws stylish curves along the side panels of the body, keeping a clean but elegant aesthetic. A strong accented rear completes the design with a perfect display of how powerful the EV will be. The futuristic look is also complemented by sleek head and tail lights, with Tesla-consistent in-set door handles. Husmen’s design definitely sets a high bar for Tesla when it comes time for its own official unveiling of the Model P.

Joey Ruiter’s Jruiter I.D.design imprint has just unveiled its latest vehicle on two wheels. Taking a similar shape to its SNOPED, the MOTO UNDONE reinterprets what makes up a motorcycle, and focuses in the functional aspect of the two-wheeled mode of transport.

The entire electric bike, with the exception of the handlebars and bottom-half of the wheels, is covered in a metal facade that has been polished to give it a mirror-like finish. The end result is a bike that makes its rider appear like he/she is floating when seen driving on the road — reflecting the legs of the rider and the surrounding environment. The MOTO UNDONE is powered by a 1500w 48v motor and can travel up to 90 miles in range, or roughly 3 hours road time.

In keeping with the minimal design, information that typically appears on the front gauges, like speed, battery, GPS and mileage, will be displayed onto the rider’s mobile phone via a downloadable app. There is no news yet on pricing or availability, so make sure to check out Joey Ruiter’s website for any future updates.

HIP HOP: New York City Has Just Been Given a Wu-Tang Clan District

The city of New York has just declared the Park Hill neighborhood of Staten Island “The Wu-Tang District.” The decision for the naming was made back in December when the New York City Council voted unanimously for the new street sign.

New York City Councilwoman Debi Rose recognized the rap group’s contribution to the borough, not to mention their presence in defining East Coast hip-hop as a genre/culture/movement by saying, “This is a great day where we have an opportunity to honor our own hometown heroes, the young men who put Staten Island on the map internationally.”

Many fans showed up to the event to witness the street sign unveiling, and take part in the event where there was a number of events set up for the local community; there was even a special area dedicated to the late ODB.

STYLE: A Berluti-Custom Triumph Motorcycle Is Now up for Auction

Following the auction of a Porsche 911 customized by Berluti, Sotheby’s is now auctioning off another Berluti custom: a Triumph T120 motorcycle, along with a custom helmet and riding boots.

The bike is the product of a collaboration between Berluti and French motorcycle shop Mecatwin, based on a Triumph Bonneville T120. The two companies completely reworked the bike from the ground up, keeping only the mechanical components such as the frame and engine stock — all other parts are uniquely designed and made for the custom motorcycle. Taking inspiration from the design language of Maison Berluti, the bike features clean pure lines reflective of a classic design, giving ample room to showcase the beautiful patina of the Venezia leather used by Berluti to craft the saddle and the handles.

Accompanying the custom bike is an open-face carbon fiber helmet in black with white Berluti-style inscription on one side and custom leatherwork lining the interior, as well as a pair of Maison’s Norwegian construction Off the Road riding boots made from calf leather with a side zip to allow easy access when putting them on.

At the time of writing this article, the Berluti-custom set is auctioning for €22,000 EUR (roughly $24,512 USD) with 11 days remaining. You can head over to Sotheby’s site to learn more or place a bid.

Acclaimed street artist Ron English is currently constructing a mural-filled Welcome Wall along the U.S. and Mexico border in protest of President Donald Trump’s immigration policy and wall proposal. English plans to build the 2000-foot-long physical barrier designed by a number of international artists and activists. Moreover, the Mexican government has already agreed to pay for several sections of English’s wall across the border, as per a statement sent to HYPEBEAST by the artist’s press team. Recently, he acquired permits in Brownsville as well as the land on the Mexican side to construct the wall.

Not long ago, English took to Indiegogo to raise funds to build the first section of his wall in Mission, Texas. The artist successfully raised over $20,000 USD on the crowdsourcing platform while offering original artworks as incentives for backers. One of the offers is a print entitled Mother, Should I build a wall? for $200 USD — the artwork was inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall album artwork (1979). Collectively, the project is a “temporary art installation to fuel the resistance against Trump’s racist monument,” as per a statement on Indiegogo. “The wall will most likely become a global tourist attraction, promoting tolerance, social and environmental justice in a way that only great art can do,” the press team added.

The artist aims for the Welcome Wall to be on view until the next presidential election on November 3, 2020. That same day, he will auction various sections with a portion of proceeds to benefit wildlife charities, indigenous communities, and non-profit organizations. In other politically-charged artworks, this Extinction Rebellion mural found in central London could be a new piece by Banksy.

From 1928 to 1987, Andy Warhol made a series of silkscreen prints inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s legendary Mona Lisa painting. Aptly named Double Mona Lisa, the Warhol artwork featured dual portraits of the Renaissance era piece with one of them being sold for nearly $215,000 USD at the 2002 Post-War & Contemporary Art Sale at Christie’s London. The silkscreen is now the focus of a collaborative BE@RBRICK edition between the Andy Warhol Foundation and Medicom Toy.

The 100% and 400% sized collectibles are entirely covered with a montage of the Double Mona Lisa visual alongside Andy Warhol’s signature on the back portions of the toys. Prices range between ¥12,000 JPY and ¥48,000 JPY (approx. $107 USD and $430 USD). The edition will release at Medicom Toy stockists including Rakuten this September.

Thousands of climate activists have been taking part in the Extinction Rebellion protests in central London since April 16. Those participating in the demonstrations are protesting against “climate breakdown, biodiversity loss, and the risk of human extinction and ecological collapse,” as per a public statement.

This Friday, demonstrators spotted a freshly-painted mural at their base in Marble Ache that many are claiming is the work of Banksy. The artwork features the slogan “From this moment despair ends and tactics begin” beside a young girl sitting on the ground while brandishing an Extinction Rebellion logo.

Art dealer and gallerist John Brandler, who owns several pieces by the elusive British artist, strongly believes that the mural is by Banksy. “I’m convinced about the one in London for two reasons: it’s a topic that he would support, and it’s a continuation of the Port Talbot piece that appeared in December 2018,” he said to The Guardian. “The name in the corner is not important, the signature is the work. And this is a Banksy. It’s a wonderful statement and a beautiful piece.”

Atlanta trapstar Hoodrich Pablo Juan has released his latest project BLO: The Movie. The new album arrives a little less than a year after his Hoodwolf 2 collaboration album alongside producer Danny Wolf. The new 12-track offering totes a range of well-placed features from Young Thug, Gunna, Smooky Margielaa, Young Dolph, NAV, and more, carrying through with much of the hard-hitting sound that has catapulted Hoodrich into an Atlantan trap titan.

Hoodrich employs a diverse range of instrumentals on the new album, featuring a bevy of melody-laden tracks that transition from the rappers typical 808-heavy beats, nearly treading into R&B territory on tracks like “Racks On Me.” Yet Pablo Juan still manages to carry through with his usual persona on tracks like “Everything 4 Sale” featuring Young Dolph, which relishes in heavy-handed 808 basses, smartly articulated synths, and rattling snares.
