Coolrain Pays Tribute to Air Max Day with Space Lunar Boot-Wearing Astronaut Figure
In celebration of Air Max day earlier this week, toy-maker and designer Coolrain created two astronaut figures wearing boots inspired by the iconic Air Max franchise. The highlight, a Lunarlon meets Air Max boot, was a fitting and modern take on one of Nike’s most important silos. Furthermore, the Korean artist created an Air Max installation and placed two astronaut figures atop a sneaker shoe print. Supreme teams up with Nike to release a new edition of the Nike Air Foamposite 1. The $250 Foamposite 1 is set to hit locations in NY, LA and London and online on April 3. Campouts for the shoe have already started at the LA location.

Basket Woven Derby Shoe by AMI Paris
New French brand AMI by designer Alexandre Mattiussi brings us a unique derby shoe, featuring a completely basket woven side, toe, and tongue. The brand delivers sophisticated and wearable designs, which the French designer shows in this shoe. Nike Air Max Plus “Inverted OG” Pack
While remaining almost inexplicably absent from U.S. release schedules, the Nike Air Max Plus has continued to turn up across Europe, Asia and Australia – this time in a brand new “Inverted OG” pack from NSW. Recalling the silhouette’s original “Orange Tiger” and “Hyper Blue” colorways, the retro runners place the signature hues on the shoes’ exoskeletons as the mesh portion of the upper appears in stark white. Both versions can now be found via Foot Locker locations in Australia.

Nike Basketball 2014 Easter Collection
As spring slowly breaks through winter’s cold grasp and Easter appears on the horizon, Nike typically delivers a pair of sneakers inspired by the springtime holiday and its hallmark pastels. This time around however, a collection of three player-exclusive basketball kicks with unique color inspirations will release from the Beaverton camp. Starting with the LeBron 11 Low, this model tips its hat to wearing your Sunday best with a clean white upper and a paisley pattern as a tribute to Miami’s tropical palm trees. The Kobe 9 EM features a multicolored Engineer Mesh construction that resembles the Easter tradition of color-dying eggs. Lastly, the KD VI and its camouflage green upper was influenced by another Easter tradition: the egg hunt. Each of the three models will be available April 18 at Nike.com and select retail locations throughout the globe.

KAWS’ “Final Days” Exhibition Opens at CAC Malaga
KAWS, aka Brian Donnelly, has just opened his first solo museum show outside of the United States at CAC Malaga in Spain. Titled “Final Days,” the exhibition features the artist’s large-scale wooden figures, including the Companion, Kurf and Pinocchio sculptures. The six black figures are all exhibited in one large room, in various sizes and positions. “Final Days” will run in Malaga, Spain until June 22.CAC Malaga

adidas Originals and Pharrell Announce Partnership
Recently, Pharrell took to the GRAMMYs wearing his much-discussed Buffalo Hat and a custom adidas Originals track jacket, while also wearing an all-red pair of adidas sneakers during his performance of “Happy” at the Oscars. Since then, the multi-talented artist, producer and designer has rarely been seen without his adidas on, leading to much speculation that he and the German sportswear giant might have something planned together. Today, the two have announced the start of an official partnership. While little has been shared as to what the collaboration will entail, judging by Pharrell’s endless creativity, we’re sure it’ll be nothing short of spectacular. The first pieces from the Pharrell Williams x adidas Originals collection will debut this summer. Stay tuned for more.
Bell & Ross B-Rocket
- Bell & Ross pay tribute to both aeronautics and motorcycles with two new B-Rocket timepieces. Based off of their concept bike of the same name — made in partnership with Shaw Harley Davidson — the 46mm BR 01 (pictured) features a driving-specific chronograph while the 42mm BR 03 features a large date window with power reserve indicator. Both include a stitched black padded leather strap with red trim. Stay tuned for more details on the release of the watches in the near future.
