Non-athlete professional shoes are rare, even more so in the special case of Spike Lee – a pioneer in traversing boundaries between pop culture, sports, and film. His silhouette under the Jordan umbrella is equitably rare, an amalgamation of elements from Air Jordans III through VI and incorporating hints of even the twentieth model. Though recently released in its original colorway, here we find the Jordan Spiz’ike in a tonal blue and grey colorway for the new season. The upper is dominated by blue paneling at the forefoot, blocked by grey nubuck at the midfoot. These characteristics are nicely contrasted by Jordan Brand‘s hallmark elephant print at the toe and heel portion, then speckled pink and navy at the rear midsole. A reference to Lee’s own ‘Mars Blackmon’ character finishes this release. Look for this version of the shoe to drop at retailers such as Sneaker Politics on October 15 for $175 USD.
