Omega Update The 1940s De Ville Tresor Timepiece

OMEGA is bringing a fresh new face to its late 1940s De Ville Tresor model with the launch of a more contemporary version almost half a century later. The original came to have “treasure” in its title due to the fact that it housed a storied 30mm calibre — widely considered to be one of the most classic movements of all time.
This time around, the brand has created a 40mm timepiece that boasts more mechanical movements than ever before. Powering the watch is the hand-wound OMEGA Master Co-Axial calibre 851; a movement that features time zone functions, a silicon balance spring, a three-level Co-Axial escapement and the brand’s exclusive anti-magnetic technology. The anti-magnetic technology allows the watch to resist magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss, allowing its wearer the comfort of knowing the timepiece will stay accurate.
It has also officially been certified as a chronometer and retains the same thin 10.6mm case of its predecessor. The piece can be purchased in polished 18K OMEGA Sedna gold, 18K yellow gold or 18K white gold with a brown or black leather strap. The watch face features an opaline dial decorated with a vintage pattern along with domed 18K gold indexes, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and anti-reflective coating.
The watch is available this Holiday 2014 season. #EssentiallyOMEGA
