Storm x TRIWA 2014 Fall/Winter Sort of Black Glow Pack/"Armstrong Light Trap" Lamp by Constantin Bolimond/The Robinson Collectors' Campaign Watch Case

Presenting the third installment in the Sort of Black series from Stockholm-based TRIWA and Copenhagen retailer Storm, the Glow pack consists of two watches, both featuring super luminous details that stand out among its dark surroundings. Offering a standard or chronograph version, each 38mm stainless steel timepiece comes with two band choices, black-plated steel mesh and a racing-inspired Tärnsjö organic leather strap. While the chrono is built with a Miyota OS11 movement, the other features the Miyota 2035. Priced at $340 USD and $460 USD respectively, the limited edition Sort of Black Glow collection is available at just ten retailers, including the HYPEBEAST Store.

Inspired by the surface of the moon, the Armstrong Light Trap lamp creates a more interactive and tactile experience in the way we control light ambience. The design is essentially a ball housing energy-efficient LEDs and perforated by large holes which vary in size and plugged by correspondingly shaped cork inserts. The light turns on when a cork insert is removed and turn off when the cork is replaced, allowing the user to adjust the brightness of the lamp to their liking by removing more inserts or exploring different configurations to create different ambiences. The lamp is also able to run off battery power or be plugged into a wall socket.

UK-based Robinson has released a limited edition Collectors’ Campaign Watch Case inspired by vintage luggage and the romance of the Grand Tour — a traditional trip taken by Europe’s elite over 300 years ago. Handcrafted in Scotland from the finest solid hardwood and full-grain leather, the case is detailed with polished brass hardware and thick bridle leather straps. The special case evokes the timeless magic and romance of the classic steamer trunk. The exclusive cases are handmade to order in either European oak or Scottish elm with Vesper black leather or Wax Jet camo brown leather.
