Soulja Boy Confirms His Partnership With World Poker For $400 Million Dollars
Soulja Boy has reached a whole new level with a recent confirmation on his no-longer impending deal with World Poker Fund Holdings, which amounts to a whopping $400 million dollars. The deal has been pending for a while, but from a recent press release by the publicly traded gaming company, the partnership is now set in stone, confirming the rapper his new riches. What World Poker gets out of the deal is the reach of Soulja Boy‘s 15 million plus social followers to promote different online assets of the company, such as CelebrityWorld.com. The endorsement is set for five years, and is another example of major brands and companies looking to celebrities and their social following for a means of growth. To hear it from the horse’s mouth, here’s what WPFH’s spokesperson Mathew Bird had to say about their deal:
“The world of marketing is changing, today’s biggest influencers are not brands, but individuals who create content that drive loyalty and brand sentiment. Soulja Boy represents the best of the best and we are already seeing the impact from his presence.”Soulja Boy adds:
“I invest in things I understand. I enjoy music, and of course gaming. Being an influencer is a form of currency. Having portfolio diversification is critical if you want to be an effective brand ambassador. With regards to World Poker Fund, I believe in its strategy, its team, the vision, and management’s ability to target its financial goals.”It would seem the ATL-native doesn’t want to stop there, as he’s now hitting up Virgin’s founder Richard Branson with T Mobile in tow with ideas in mind.
