The duo of Calvin Klein and Opening Ceremony will be paying homage to one of the most recognizable supermodels of all time. With Kate Moss as the muse, it’s only right that special imagery would be used for the pair of T-shirt styles. The time vault is used to place an image from Moss’ 1993 Calvin Klein underwear campaign, shot by David Sims.
The Opening Ceremony exclusive capsule is currently available now for $85 USD each and offers the option of black- or white-based tees with a choice between two different images of Moss.
Raf Simons was recently named the chief creative officer of Calvin Klein. Not only will the Belgian fashion designer maintain a watchful eye on the popular American fashion house, but he’ll also continue taking tabs on his namesake menswear brand and cooking up new designs for his ongoing partnership with adidas. Simons and The Three Stripes recently announced an upcoming lineup for 2016 fall/winter that’s comprised of the highly coveted Stan Smith shoe, a Velcro strapped version of the aforesaid pair, and the Matrix Spirit in a low- and high-top version. Simons takes the commemorative footwear of the famed tennis player by wrapping it with vibrant colors and embedding his signature, perforated ’R’ on each quarter panel. The Stan Smith Comfort features three Velcro straps and is welcomed in a series of accented hues such as ivory, cyan, and purple which are embellished on a black and white pair individually. Lastly, the Matrix Spirit takes the silhouette of a traditional basketball shoe and arrives in four different colorways, including white, black, purple and red.
Each pair is expected to hit adidas concept stores, select boutiques as well as retail stores like Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, and SSENSE later this summer with prices ranging from $330-$415 USD. Look over the photos above and stay tuned for more information.
