As an OG women’s streetwear brand, MadeMe has been shaking up the industry since its inception. Having collaborated with the likes of X-Girl and Schott, and produced stellar lookbooks season after season, the brand continues to develop its authentic and unique brand of cool, contemporary womenswear for Fall 2017.
Featuring Princess Nokia, the lookbook fully encapsulates that effortless ’90s look that designer Erin Magee wanted to perfect. The collection itself is inspired by Missy Elliot and Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill, and consists of an array of a vivid yellow puffer jacket, shiny PVC-looking jackets, graphic tees and berets paired with plaid miniskirts à la Cher from Clueless. The standout piece, however, must be the ultra-shiny overalls – a peak ’90s garment with a whole new twist.
