BornxRaised has released more images of its first Fall 2017 delivery. The LA-based label already provided an initial peek at the goods, this time its providing a more intimate look.
The collection is motivated by the political revolutionaries, while also taking cues from the struggles of America’s native people. Berets and glasses reference Che Guevara and Malcolm X, respectively, and the grenade necklaces seen throughout the lookbook make the inspiration clear. Black, olive drab and camouflage T-shirts, coach jackets, and anoraks further emphasize the militaristic theme. Bold graphics abound — prints proclaim “Fuck Everyone” and BornxRaised’s motto, “Gentrification is Genocide.” Elsewhere, BornxRaised’s logo is redesigned in a typeface recalling the logo of fellow Californians Suicidal Tendencies, further emphasizing their West Coast roots.
