Timberland has announced its collaboration with the NBA, just in time for the All-Star Weekend. Consisting of four sporting twists on Timberland’s classic silhouettes — the 6-Inch Boot and the Field Boot — NBA fans can now choose between the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers or represent “East-Meets-West” in a logo-heavy design.
Wrapped in NBA team colorways, each limited edition pair features a waterproof construction, premium leather upper and Timberland’s iconic padded collar. The standout pair is Timberland’s all-over logo boot, fusing team logos from the West Coast and the East. Etched logos cover the black 6-Inch boot and mark it as one of the more notable NBA collaborative pairs.
Available in both men’s and junior sizes, the NBA x Timberland collection is available online and at select retailers.
Ahead of the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, Jordan Brand unveiled the uniforms it has put together for the highly anticipated game that’s set to take place in Charlotte, NC.
Drawing from the rich history of the host city, and the memorable 1991 All-Star Game that took place in the city, we see a black West and white East jersey, both accented with a classic red, white and blue trim. The graphics found on the pieces pay homage to the host team (Charlotte Hornets) with a subtle honeycomb pattern overlay. While North Carolina’s flight heritage is expressed via the military-inspired stencil font used for the player names and numbers.
Captains and starter versions of Jordan Brand’s 2019 NBA All-Star Game, both in Authentic and Swingman, are available now on nike.com and at select retailers, while the jerseys for the remaining players will release January 31.
The Air Jordan 6 “Black/Infrared” is already confirmed to make a comeback during this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, and today we learn that Charlotte-based retailer, Social Status, will also be releasing a special Air Jordan 6 for the occasion.
The shoe is inspired by Jordan’s “Black Cat” alter ego, and features a black snake skin upper, black pony hair on the heel area, and a matching black midsole. Hits of dark concord and violet contrasts the midsole and is also present on the tongue, lace lock, and heel pull. The Social Status x Air Jordan 6 is finished with an icy-translucent outsole.
