Toronto-based artist Mad Dog Jones is widely-recognized for his digital art illustrations that portray cyberpunk and natural elements. Taking stylistic cues from Japanese animation, the artist spearheads visual narratives in urban settings that spotlight a range of neon-accented characters.
Mad Dog Jones recently launched his first exhibition in Tokyo’s Diesel Art Gallery entitled “AFTERL-IFE WORLD.” The hyphen in the show’s title evokes the “unexpected breaks in life,” described the gallery. “The exhibition is a chance to look to the future and to the past, to take a break from life, and toexamine art, our world, and our daily lives—all while opening the door to a world somehow familiar, yet that maintains an exotic distance.”
View select works and tour the exhibition above. “AFTERL-IFE WORLD” is on view at Diesel Art Gallery in Tokyo until November 14.
