Longtime collaborators Boris Bidjan Saberi and Salomon S/Lab have joined forces yet again, this time reworking the Bamba 2 silhouette with a minty green colorway. The chunky sneakers are covered in faded shades of green along the upper, while pastel blue trimming recalls subtle Tiffany & Co. vibes.
This edition is constructed of textile and mesh panels, a round toe and a perforated design on the side panels. A zip closure at the front conceals the tonal lacing system, and has been co-branded with “S” and “11” emblems. More logos are marked on the tongue patch, heel and insole to spotlight each label, rounding out the details.
Priced at $518 USD, the Boris Bidjan x Salomon S/Lab Green Bamba 2 Sneakers are available now at Browns’ webstore.
With the 2019-2020 NBA season tipping off in less than two months, the league teamed up with Nike to offer team-inspired iterations of the Air Force 1 High. The first two models pay respects to the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers — a rivalry set to reach new heights with LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard going head-to-head on October 22 — arriving in each team’s distinct colors. Crafted with a classic white leather upper, the high-top silhouette features a bold nylon contrast of either purple or blue on the heel, collar and strap. The panel swoosh arrives half-dipped in white and yellow or red, added by repetitive NBA x Nike Sportswear insignias on the tongue and heel tape.
The Nike Air Force 1 High NBA “Lakers” and “Clippers” are both available now at stockists like billys-tokyo.net for approximately $125 USD, and will most likely land stateside on nike.com in the next two months.
Burberry has released a new iteration of its Low-Top Sneaker in a bricolage of materials including vibrant animal prints and the luxury brand’s iconic Vintage Check pattern. Aptly channeling atmos’ various Nike Air Max “Animal Pack” sneakers, the shoe sees zebra, leopard, and cow prints — constructed out of calf hair — scattered across the upper. The brand’s signature pattern equally marks the shoe on the heel and toe box regions.
More details on the shoe include black leather hits on the lace eyelets, as well as rubber overlays where the velcro strap resides. Material-wise, the upper has been constructed from calf hair, calf suede, and calf leather, with the lining and footbed constructed out of calf and sheep leathers. This is all met by a chunky outsole in white, with a rear panel in red marking the heel.
You can check out Burberry’s newly released Animal Print and Classic Vintage Check Low-Top Sneaker in the gallery above. The made-in-Italy shoe is currently available via The Webster’s web store with a retail price of $620 USD.
Jordan Brand has delivered its latest signature shoe, the Air Jordan XXXIV. Crafted with the intent of bringing the best in lightweight performance to the court, Nike’s latest Jordan Brand sneaker is one of the lightest basketball shoes ever created — a size 9 weighs in at just 13.1 ounces.
Gentry Humphrey, VP of Jordan Brand Footwear shared that “by introducing new, proprietary innovation with the XXXIV, the line’s game-changing legacy is extended to a new generation of athletes.” The new shoe effectually strips away unnecessary materials, leaving athletes with only what they need to excel on the court. Jordan Brand designer Tate Kuerbis equally noted that the shoe was created after “collating feedback from the Air Jordan XXXIII,” noting that much of the feedback revolved around “a desire to improve traction and reduce weight.”
The new shoe also introduces the Jordan Eclipse Plate, formed by two Pebax pieces and a forefoot Zoom Air unit to help in providing piston-like explosiveness off the foot. “The Eclipse Plate takes inherent values of the propulsion Flight Plate, a technology that is well-loved by Jordan athletes, and helps reduce the overall stiffness and strips down the weight,” shared Kuerbis. This ultimately relays to increased performance when cutting, sprinting, and jumping.
The first colorway to release will be the shoe Williamson wore during the reveal — the Air Jordan 34 “Blue Void,” which features a vibrant interplay of green, purple, teal, and more. The shoe is expected to douse the feet of Jordan Brand athletes as well as partner high school and collegiate teams, officially landing via Nike’s webstore on September 25 for $180 USD.
To follow up on the extremely popular “Woodstock” UltraBOOST that released earlier this summer to celebrate the iconic music festival’s 50th anniversary, Nice Kicks and adidas Consortium look to have another tie-dye iteration on the way.
This time around the vibrant model utilizes a black base instead of a fresh white one seen on its predecessor, while still maintaining the spiral tie-dye graphics throughout its upper. The tonal black colorway also dresses the translucent lace cage, heel counter, inner liner and signature BOOST midsole. Finally a gum outsole, co-branded tongue tabs and insoles compete the overall design.
So far no release details have been shared for the latest Nice Kicks x adidas UltraBOOST “Woodstock,” but keep it locked here for when they surface.
