Not to be outdone by New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, Clippers point guard Chris Paul is also set to receive his own take on a classic pair of Jordans this holiday season with the introduction of a “CP3″ edition of the Air Jordan 1. Like the aforementioned Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Melo,” Paul’s version of the AJ1 is highlighted by the inclusion of his own logo on the tongue while the shoe itself dons nubuck, leather and mesh construction — this time in a Midnight Navy/University Blue-White colorway. Look for the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “CP3″ to drop alongside Melo’s version December 20 in limited numbers at Jordan Brand retailers like Sneaker Politics.
Long rumored and even teased back in October, Carmelo Anthony‘s limited edition Air Jordan 1 is indeed a reality and is arriving just in time for the holidays. Sporting classic color-blocking with an upper of black nubuck alongside a matching mesh collar and metallic gold leather paneling, Melo’s take on the timeless AJ1 comes complete with a contrasting white midsole while his own logo adorns the tongue tag. Retailing for $130 USD, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Melo” is set to hit spots like Sneaker Politics in limited quantities December 20.
In celebration of Jordan Brand‘s 30th Anniversary, the iconic footwear imprint delves into its replete archive to rerelease the Air Jordan 1 Retro High Strap in two colorways. The Blue/White draws inspiration from Michael Jordan’s time at North Carolina while the Black/Red/White builds from the legendary Chicago Bulls colorway. Both feature leather uppers, white midsoles and color-themed outsoles, while high arching nylon ankle straps boast Jordan’s iconic Wings emblem. Look for both silhouettes at select stockists including Foot Locker EU for £105 GBP (approximately $165 USD).
