adidas Originals 2015 Superstar 80s "Camo" Pack / Converse Japan Jack Purcell "Looppile" / Nike KD 7 EXT QS "Floral" / Nike Zoom Hyperrev 2015 / Nike Introduces the Ultra Versatile LunarTempo Running Shoe
After dropping a number of takes on the silhouette as a nod to the 10-year anniversary of its Consortium program, adidas presents yet another pack highlighted by the Superstar 80s. Following collabs with both NIGO and Mark Gonzales, the latest versions of the iconic shell toe employ a unique raised dot camo motif to provide depth to an otherwise tonal upper. Available in both white and Timber colorways, the camo editions of the Superstar 80s can be pre-ordered now via the UK’s Aphrodite.
Converse Japan has released three new colorways in its popular Jack Purcell silhouette as part of its Spring 2015 offerings. The name is in reference to the pile textile which crafts the entire upper, a material that is characterized by the raised surface of the fabric which is made of upright loops or strands of yarn. With the choice to incorporate this particular material into its spring lineup, Converse Japan continues to draw inspiration from surf culture, where pile textiles such as terry cloth are common. The shoe comes in coral, gray and turquoise, and is due to release online and through select Converse Japan stockists sometime this month.
The new Nike KD 7 EXT QS “Floral” debuts a brand new design on the KD 7 EXT silhouette. The multicolored floral print incorporates gold damask and plant motifs splashed across a Midnight Navy base, above a white midsole and a translucent blue outsole. Otherwise, the tongue, mid-foot strap and interior of the shoe are made with Hazelnut Brown leather. You can purchase the Nike KD 7 EXT QS “Floral” on February 12 at select Nike Sportswear retailers for $200 USD.
Inspired by New York City’s energy and vibrancy, the Nike Basketball Zoom City collection draws features from the five boroughs and distinctive architecture resulting in a reimagined collection. Part of the collection is the Nike Zoom Hyperrev in Multi-Color/Poison Green/Black. The shoe is an eye-catching iteration of the silhouette with a printed translucent grey upper, with bright green peeking through. Contrasted against a bright blue and green heel and lace accents, with a speckled outsole and black lining and tongue pulling together the look. The new Nike Zoom Hyperrev 2015 will be available on February 12 for $150 USD, for more information check out Nike.com.
Nike has quietly announced the release of a new Lunarlon model with its Nike LunarTempo. A successor to the popular Lunaracer model, the lightweight shoe combines a racing flat with the plush cushioning of an everyday trainer, giving the shoe the necessary balance of durability, support and comfort. The outsole of this shoe includes a waffle-shaped tread to improve durability and traction. Secondary waffle pistons are put in place to work cohesively with the midsole, absorbing impact while responding with a spring effect. Improving on its predecessor, the shoe’s clean silhouette will surely be a popular option for runners in the coming months. Visit Nike’s website for more information.
