adidas Originals Superstar 80s by Pharrell Williams / Union Los Angeles x adidas Consortium Superstar / adidas Presents First Boost Technology Skate Shoe "ADV Boost" / adidas Originals Top Ten Hi "Floral"
adidas Originals and Pharrell Williams continue their ongoing partnership with an update to the classic Superstar 80s silhouette. Drawing inspiration from traditional Bolivian crafts, the shoe features a jet-black leather base with an intricately handcrafted pattern utilizing multicolored beads. The iconic three stripes is done up with the same hand-beading and a distinct Pharrell sockliner design finishes off the unique collaborative effort. The adidas Originals Superstar 80s by Pharrell Williams will be available for purchase starting February 14, exclusively in New York City. After unveiling a collaboration with UNDFTD for its 10th anniversary, we now get a closer look at the Union x adidas Consortium Superstar. The classic silhouette is reimagined with a brown suede upper, encompassing the entire shoe as well as the iconic shell toecap. The renowned Three Stripes is disguised among the suede and only discernible through the crosshatch stitching. Completing the shoe is the contrasting cream laces and outsole, with a sole splash of color from royal blue leather heel tab. The limited edition sneakers are now available at select adidas Consortium stockists.
adidas Skateboarding has revealed the ADV Boost, the first ever skate shoe to utilize the brand’s Boost technology to provide long-lasting comfort translating to more time spent on your board. This revolutionary technology is housed in the shoe’s midsole. It contains thousands of thermoplastic polyurethane pebbles in lieu of the traditional closed cell foam, increasing its impact absorption capabilities. The Vector Traction outsole is engineered specifically for skaters, working to increase board grip and overall control. The limited edition ADV Boost is set to drop on February 9 at select retailers.
Following its “Fox Red” model, adidas Originals have unveiled another iteration of the Top Ten Hi silhouette. Flashier than its simpler predecessor, the upper is constructed with an eye-catching iridescent fabric, displaying a vivid floral design, encompassed by a black mesh netting. In addition to the snakeskin aesthetic, the shoes are finished with gold metal eyes, further perpetuating the shoe’s luxurious feel. The shoes are priced at $150 USD and are available for pre-order here.
