The footwear mecca that is New York City will soon receive a significant upgrade thanks to Nike. Following the recent frenzy surrounding the news of the Swoosh opening its doors to a new location in SoHo, we were able to take a guided tour through Nike’s newest five-story heaven filled with footwear, apparel and the best customer service.
As you make your way through its welcoming glass doors, your surrounded by a world of innovation with four additional stories of curiosity hanging above your head. Your first step is into an open space dedicated to Nike’s constant interaction with its followers as a space for its run club and other physically active initiatives in addition to athlete and celebrity appearances.
As you continue throughout the rest of the space you’ll find an entire second floor dedicated to Nike Sportswear for both men and women. You’ll witness footwear and apparel throughout as you walk by its interactive customization section along with a display of Nike’s special holiday releases dubbed “12 Soles.”
Moving forward, the Swoosh team places emphasis on interaction with its consumers by providing 1-to-1 sessions with athletes who are looking for the perfect fitting pair of sneakers or the right sizing for apparel. As a result, Nike has incorporated an interactive soccer pitch, running experience and half-court basketball area which places you in the heart of drills and additional activities. To ensure your curiosity, a Nike representative will work alongside you in order to help you in your purchasing decision whether it be the proper way to pace your run, the specific boot needed for your soccer position or if you need a Zoom Air Unit while driving to the basket.
As an added bonus, the 89th and soon-to-be auctioned pair of the recently raffled Nike Mag stands next to the upcoming Nike Hyperadapt 1.0 as a nice welcome in the midst of the Swoosh mania.
For a closer look, check out our Facebook Live here as we’re given a guided tour through the space. Be sure to visit the store when it officially opens on November 11.
