SUPREME returns with another strong collaboration this Fall/Winter 2016 season, this time with world-respected photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. The Japanese native, born in 1940, has been photographing his subjects with his instantly-recognizable gritty aesthetic and diary-esque narrative, all while incorporating an elevated sense of erotica. A recurring theme of “Kinbaku” — the Japanese art of bondage — has been tied to Araki’s photos and has thus made him one of the most intriguing contemporary artists of our time. The collection includes graphics set upon a hooded sweatshirt, long-sleeve T-shirt and short-sleeve T-shirt, while a limited edition zine will also release featuring original photography with model Kiko Mizuhara.
The Araki for Supreme collection will release in-store at Supreme NY, LA, London and Paris locations on November 3, while Japan will see a release on November 5.
