Nike is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic Air Max 1 — the Swoosh’s first-ever shoe with a visible Max Air unit — this month by dropping a bold “Dynamic Berry” take on the classic runner. Dressed in premium suede throughout, the kicks not only don the berry-colored hue, but couple it with “Vivid Sulfur” accents throughout. Additional details include the likes of contrasting white accents and a black rubber outsole while the tongue multicolored branding is echoed by the celebratory “1987″ graphic footbeds.
Swoosh fans can cop this colorful homage now from NSW spots like Sneaker Politics for $130 USD.
To celebrate various iconic basketball sneakers that have graced the hardwood throughout the decades, Nike has partnered with KITH to launch the “5 Decades of Basketball” Collection. The capsule will feature the Air Force 1 Sport Lux, Blazer Studio Low, Air Foamposite Pro, Zoom Generation and the Flight Bonafide. This five pair collection is just one of the many launches that Nike has planned for the week of February 8 through February 15 as the Swoosh “Ignites New York Fashion Week” with plenty of New York-made experiences from Canal Street to Harlem.
Check out Nike’s full plans for NYFW right here and be on the lookout for the Vachetta Tan inspired “5 Decades of Basketball” pack to release at KITH on February 10, followed by a wider release at Nike Sportswear dealers next week during NBA’s All-Star Weekend.
