Vanda Electric, a new company based in Singapore, is in the midst of developing a monster of an electric hypercar named ‘Dendrobium’ after a local orchid. The first of its kind to come from the country, the final product is expected to be capable of 4000 Nm of torque, 1500 horsepower and a startling 0-100 km/h time of 2.6 seconds. The car’s battery will be hold a charge of up to 100 kWh, large enough to cross and return to Singapore 8 times, while top speeds can reach 400 km/h. A total of 10 are expected to be produced and unveiled in Switzerland, while the public’s first view of a prototype comes this year’s 87th Geneva International Motor Show.
