After dominating the charts with the release of “Starboy,” Daft Punk and The Weeknd are now surpassing yet another milestone as their “Starboy” music video has just hit 1 billion views on YouTube. As of today, they’ve officially joined the “1 billion club,” joining the likes of DJ Snake, Major Lazer and Calvin Harris. The video is currently #58 on the most-watched videos of all time list, and also becomes Daft Punk’s first-ever song to hit 1 billion YouTube views. Since its release back in 2016, the song has reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, gone 4x platinum in the U.S., and achieved platinum and diamond status in Canada, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Australia, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Congrats to The Weeknd and Daft Punk and, in case you haven’t already, watch the video here.
