Ralph Lauren has re-introduced it’s Polo Sport Denim and Polo Sport Silver collections featuring both reissued and reimagined pieces. Polo Sport, originally launched in 1992, marked the first time a luxury fashion group created a functional, stylish line of sportswear that captured the energy of both fashion and athleticism. The Denim and Silver collections were a key aspect in 90s streetwear culture and still carry credibility today.
The Polo Sport Denim capsule for both men and women features a classic cap, Dungaree jacket and utility jeans all made of 100% cotton denim.
Using the original trims and branding with modern updates, the pieces adopt a more modern Polo Sport aesthetic. The Polo Silver Capsule for men features outerwear, pants and accessories. The Silver Jacket and fanny-pack are reissued while the windbreaker, vest, shell pant and hats are slightly updated colorways featuring more modern construction. The series also includes repurposed design motifs featuring bold graphics in a silver, red, white and blue color scheme. The look book features a series of different stylish families from Paris, London and Berlin styling the collections to suit their personal style.
Both capsule collections are available at the end of May 2019 on the Polo App and website as well as select Ralph Lauren retailers worldwide.

HBO has just announced an upcoming documentary revolving around American fashion icon Ralph Lauren‘s life story, aptly named Very Ralph.
The feature length film about the 79-year-old designer, who founded his now-famous Polo menswear brand in 1968, will cover everything from the man’s upbringing in the Bronx, his half-a-century-long marriage with Ricky Anne Loew-Beer, and candid interviews with Lauren himself. Of course, the documentary will also chronicle his six decades in the fashion industry, discussing the birth of Polo and its early struggles, as well as later innovations in design and advertising.
Stepping away from the man himself, the documentary also features an array of interviews with some of Lauren’s closest family and friends, including guests such as Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell, Anna Wintour, Calvin Klein, Hillary Clinton, Martha Stewart, Diane von Furstenberg, and Jessica Chastain.
For those of you interested in the fashion industry or if you’re just a fan of RL/Polo, be sure to check out Very Ralph, which premieres November 12 on HBO.
